L2501
looking at trading in the b7800 with backhoe for a new L2501 on kubotas site it has the build your own and i would like to add rear remote for just in case but i need help with the options im not really sure what i want or what these options mean.here is the first options you pick one of these
x none
x FIRST POSITION VALVE KIT W/LOADER
x PLUS 2ND POSITION VALVE KIT (CHOICE OF VALVE FOR 2ND POSITION)
x PLUS 3RD POSITION VALVE KIT (CHOICE OF VALVES FOR 2ND & 3RD POSITION)

then if you pick the first position option it give you this you have to pick one
Section 1 -- pick 1 of the following items
x 1ST POSITION VALVE KIT
x HEAVY DUTY FRONT LOADER W/2-LEVER STYLE COUPLER
x HEAVY DUTY FRONT LOADER PACKAGE

but if you pick the 2nd, or 3rd position it gives you this to pick from
Section 1 -- pick 1 of the following items
x FLOAT DETENT VALVE
x DETENT VALVE (NON SELF-CANCELING)

can you help me sort this out idk what i would really want.
also i dont see an option for an extra on the front loader i would like that for sure someday get a grapple or something.

This is choosing 1, 2 or 3 valves with the first valve being the one that is used with a loader valve.

Section 1 -- pick 1 of the following items
x 1ST POSITION VALVE KIT
x HEAVY DUTY FRONT LOADER W/2-LEVER STYLE COUPLER
x HEAVY DUTY FRONT LOADER PACKAGE
Look at: Ken's Bolt on Grab Hooks <<Kubota Hooks>>
The "2-LEVER STYLE COUPLER" is a skid style quick attach loader, the other loader is the pin on style loader bucket

but if you pick the 2nd, or 3rd position it gives you this to pick from
Section 1 -- pick 1 of the following items
x FLOAT DETENT VALVE
x DETENT VALVE (NON SELF-CANCELING)
A "FLOAT DETENT VALVE" will lock the valve into float position and let the cylinder go up or down as needed.
A "DETENT VALVE (NON SELF-CANCELING)" lets you lock the rear remote in "on" position to run something like another valve (ie: for a woodsplitter, backhoe, etc), or a hydraulic motor.

can you help me sort this out idk what i would really want.

I don't think Kubota offers that as an option, you have to buy an aftermarket valve to do that.

ok thanks i think im starting to understand, the first part was confusing as i never thought of getting one without a loader, so never considered having to add it lol

so it i chose this option below that would be a rear additional valve, not related to the loader valve?
PLUS 2ND POSITION VALVE KIT (CHOICE OF VALVE FOR 2ND POSITION)

I don't think #1 is the loader valve. I think it's a 1st position valve kit for on machines that have a loader. The valve stack gets it's input from the loader valve's power beyond. When there is no loader, that input has to come from the pump, requiring a different kit.

I recommend getting at least one valve with a float option. Some implements require it and it's useful for some others. It's only a small price increase. I didn't and while I don't need it yet I'm considering an implement that does. Also if you plan to get top and tilt or just one, get valves to run those dedicated. So you don't need to swap lines when changing implements.

As I read it, the valve body is different with a loader vs without (with a loader probably has ports to run a loader valve, without does not). On the older L series (like our L3830) there is a block under the RF corner of the operators platform where you connect the loader valve hoses to instead, so the first valve is the same either way.

I agree.

im sorry for this im sure these are basic things, but that brings up another question , can you explain the top and tilt? i see that was an additional option
if i seen these in person probably be all over it, but just names idk!

Top and tilt are hydraulic cylinders to replace the top link and one of the side links on the 3pt. This lets you adjust the implement's angle (top) and tilt relative to the tractor (tilt). I use the top cylinder all the time to angle long implements up so I can get in and out of the barn which has a ramp on it, and when traveling through a dip or down a slope where it bottoms out. It's also incredibly useful when you're using a rear blade. Tilt is also useful for rear blades- it lets you cut at an angle to how the tractor is sitting. For example if you're making a road across a slope, it lets you cut more with the uphill side of the blade. All tractors have manual adjustments for these but having to stop and mess with them means that you don't do it unless they're really wrong, or you stop a lot.

Some people have had problems with Kubota's top and tilt.... best check the posts before buying.

so would you guys add extra remotes or would you buy a kit and do it yourself?
wouldnt you think the dealers just put aftermarket remotes on?if not built from factory

Extra remote valves are very expensive through kubota. They are a whole goods item which means they must be purchased through the sales dept. Parts can not sell them. Best bet, get the dealer to install. They don't negotiate the remotes $$ post tractor sale finalized.
