Buying Advice Pallet forks

My Branson has the skid steer plate. Easy enough to connect and then there are 2 handles you push down to set the locking pins. Neighbor has a '16 JD 4052 with the JD QA hitch. Its easy enough to mount. Only question is availability of attachments on the JD. Don't know just a thought. I don't have a problem getting what I want for mine.

I recently got some palletforks.com forks (Titan). One of the holes was a bit tight and I had to grind it a bit so that the pin on my tractor (Branson 3520h) would engage. All I had was a 4" grinder but it managed; had to take about 3/16" off as the pin was barely poking in the hole before and obviously wouldn't lock.

I haven't put any other FEL attachments on yet so I can't say if there's something funky about my tractor's pins or not - I suspect not as the my OEM bucket fits perfectly.

My bucket fits perfectly as well.
Hopefully the forks will fit right off the bat, but if not I guess grinding is always an option. I’ll find out soon. Thanks

That sucks that they didn’t fit. I bought the pallet forks/ hay spear combo from them with 2inch hitch receiver. Mine fit perfectly, my only only initial complaint was the 2 inch receiver stuck out and you could not slide the forks from one side to the other. You had to take it off and put it on the other side.

I got forks for my 3820i with BL25r loader (ssqa) from these guys: 48" Standard Pallet Forks - Express Steel Inc They are only about 20 minutes away from me, so I just picked them up. Perfect fit and very well made!

Just an update: I got the 48" Titan forks with the hay spears. Fits perfectly, very solid.

I work construction and am certified to run a telescopic boom forklift (i.e.- Gradall, Skytrak).

On this type of equipment when you tilt the mast down (like having the FEL bucket in a dump position) the forks hang free and can easily be slid left or right on a solid rod to match the width of the load.

However on your typical tractor fork attachment they use those stupid trailer hitch lock mechanisms which don't really work at all IMO.

I never understood why they didn't adapt the industrial method of fork adjustment... it works better and has fewer parts to break/malfunction.

Pin top forks? Never knew they were called that.

Maybe someday I'll get the ones I have modified to those.

jdlaw or anyone else that has experience with Express Steel, How is the Express Steel pallet holding up ? Is it USA made ?
