Hope that helps..... gotta go.
Can you draw out a pencil drawing of the original wiring, take a picture of it, and post it?
Or draw a simple diagram of it in Paint on your PC?
It would help a lot.
The first configuration the switch is powered but toggle doesn't turn flood lights on or off, only LED light on is SETUP.
The second configuration does NOT work (the switch is not powered) no LED lights on.
Switch Wiring
-------- --------
Black (Line) -> Black (Line)
White (Neutral) -> White (Neutral)
Red (Load) -> Capped
Copper (Ground) -> Copper (Ground)

If i follow correctly, you want remote control of the lights in the outbuilding like the (hopefully) attached picture. With this configuration, the switch in the main building has it's load capped and is set as the controller for the switch in the outbuilding so when you flip the switch in the main building it activates the switch in the outbuilding. Once they are wired you have to pair the switches to one another. There should be a procedure to set them as controller/responder without a hub. If the configuration below is correct, the outbuilding should switch the lights on/off even before it is paired to the main house switch. That will confirm that side of your wiring is working as intended before trying to make them work with each other remotely.
