Being a charitable sort of a bloke I am concerned for your lack of mice and will quite happily donate the ones we have here, just forwaard me an address and I will take care of the rest....
I have been trapping mice year round for a few years now....it is a pain to check traps often though. We have noticed the tick population has dropped dramatically too.
My TC33D had a cozy spot for mice to build a nest up behind the dash so I zip tied a Fresh Cab rodent repellent bag in that location. I keeps the mice away and the bag smell is nicer than mouse smell.
They all are up here, vacationing. We have a bumper crop this year. I had to pull the blue Styrofoam out of my crawl space, I never knew that mice would burrow into the stuff but they destroyed it. My neighbor has killed over a hundred mice in just one of his buildings. Sometimes when I go up to check on my turkeys I see one of the little buggers climbing in to get some feed. Downstate my mother has been catching them all fall, last week I made her a bucket trap but they had finally tapered off about a week earlier.
No mice so far this year either -- this guy may be part of the reason. Our barn is half a mile from the nearest road, so not sure how this cat found its way to the barn but I suspect he is doing a better job of mouse management than the cut up bars of soap that have been placed around the equipment.
