I have something almost as good as an electric seat, my brother bought me a cushion years ago that you warm in the microwave and it holds heat for a couple of hours.
It doesn't work as well now that I don't have a microwave though.

I have used an electric vest while riding motorcycles on the street. On a motorcycle you're in the wind (even behind a fairing) and that pulls a lot of heat away.
The electric vest I use draws 40w, which should be no problem for a CUT's electrical system.

Now that you mention it they also make battery powered jackets and vests. Mobile Warming 7.4V Men's Alpine BT Battery Heated Jacket - The Warming Store I wouldn't consider one though, as I am often a mile or more from the pickup or snowsled, and that would be where the battery failed. (Or maybe I just like freezing my tail off.)

Next year I will have a plow on my pickup for when I want a warm cab... almost guaranteeing that 2019-2020 will be an abnormally warm winter here.

Especially when you first get stuck with the truck and then realize you can no longer lift the snowplow 6' in the air.

That's when you go get the tractor and hook the winch onto the rear bumper of the truck.

I haven't plowed out from yesterday's storm or finished cleaning from the previous one because after working out in it all day and getting soaked, all that I want to do is soak up heat from the wood stove.

Yes and under the right circumstances that could end up being a real funny story. This last snow was really a no need plow snow storm because next week it will be 50*, automatic snow removal temp.

Yes to forks!

I have been doing wooden pallets but just picked up 20 totes. They're buried in a foot of new snow, but I need to figure out how I'm going to do it. Definitely doing that top cover method though, that's a given....

Get a roll of that stretchy plastic shrink wrap stuff they wrap pallets in. Lowes sells it. In 30 seconds the top is wrapped and keeps the rain off. If you have forks, you can put firewood on a pallet, stretch wrap the whole thing and transport and position with the forks.

I finally got my chains on today. after last week's rain the 'Bota was pretty useless without them. Even with them it wasn't much better... I tried breaking out another skid trail and it was like trying to go in 2 feet of cornmeal. After getting stuck 3 times I gave up- the last time trashing my main trail, which I've kept broken out all winter.Unless this week's weather predictions settle the snow I am paunched on cutting wood and may have to go ice fishing.

I dragged out the auger tonight, just in case. :D

I also dug about a cord of poplar out of the snow, left over from the last load; wrecking my Titan forks in the process.
Somehow I think that I should have gone fishing today, also.
