Well, as you can see - it's pitch black & raining. The salesman had gone home - I got no call saying it was ready. This will be a day he won't soon forget. I'll be dam sure of that. It was all spit & polish and waiting for me in the parking lot. A very nice young, cute salesgirl, Sage, took care of the license plate and last of the paperwork. Tomorrow I'll post better pics.

FORGET about getting a tonneau. MAN, O, MAN - does it ever need running boards. I was embarrassed - it was ALL I COULD DO to crawl into this vehicle. Almost broke my back getting out at the pizza parlor. For Sigarms - that's the jacket they gave me - a very nice Klim. Dam, my back still hurts from my exit procedure. The inside looks just like the cockpit of an A380.

Nice truck!! I love blue! Definitely worth the wait.

I, too, was floored by how high these 2500's are and how challenging it was to get in them, and I'm not a small guy. I definitely recommend the Raptor Series truck steps. They're an oval tube style that runs all the way back to the rear wheel well so you can step up and reach into the bed from the side. I had mine coated in Rhino Lining to protect them from the MN winters (road salt). They've been great!

Here are a couple pictures of them:

And don't forget the BedStep like I posted in the other thread!

Oosik, you don' t look happy.... you should have a very large smile even though the salesman let you down. But I guess that is a salesman. He probably thinks he has your money, now you're on your own... Interesting the way they apply that PW decal..

Great looking truck oosik. Running boards are mandatory. I had to take my 07 2500 HD to a custom fabricator to lower my nerf bars just so I can get up in the darn thing. Good luck with it. The technology in vehicles is pretty darn amazing today.

In retrospect - he did have the truck all spit & polish and had the salesgirl clued in on the action. I found out from her - his young wife is in the hospital and quite ill. I will, of course, forgive him.

What doesn't help - I was tired, hungry, wet, upset and saw how difficult it was going to be to get into my own vehicle. The 32" tall Wrangler Off-road tires and the off-road suspension system didn't help matters either.

Tomorrow it's going to be some type of running board system - first thing. I let myself down holding on to the grab handle and it still hurt when my foot hit the ground. Even holding on - the final dismount was a one foot freefall to the asphalt parking lot.

You need to get one of these.

So, I take it that that is "Sage" in the last picture that you (finally) provided?

Also, what's that white stuff/object by the left rear tyre?

(<snigger>)

Nice looking truck, and no doubt it was well worth the wait. (plus all of the ribbing from those of us in the "peanut gallery". :D)

Not that my vote's worth anything, but the style of running boards which BigBlue1 posted are the best out there, and look like they belong on the truck. Everything else just looks like what it is... an aftermarket add-on..

Nice truck,
they make so many types and styles of running boards it is hard to sort thru and find the one's that will work the best for you.
Including power retractable,
I do like the wheel to wheel ones myself ,
some of those will restrict the type mud flaps that can be used.
enjoy
