RSKY, your point is noted but more people know motorcycle crashes more than elderly relatives with dimentia. I know both but it痴 true that motorcycles are perceived as dangerous, killing and injuring many younger folks. Sorry about your troubles.
The class was on presented by a dementia/Alzheimer's support group but the lady giving the talk was an expert in 'elder law'. She touched on troubles with disabled relatives but much of her talk was on what people like my wife and myself, who are in good health and mid sixties, need to do BEFORE the need arises. As I stated earlier we thought we had everything covered, and we do not. After horror stories from her and some other attendees we immediately bought plastic covers for and put copies of our parent's and our own POAs and living wills in our main vehicle. I think we have enough older members here to make an interesting discussion but my original post would have to be three pages long to start it.
