I don't think the frames are designed strong enough in them to take much abuse, like logging ect....

Have you ever looked at one? The frames are a 3 sided casting and there's been a couple in here, in years past, with them broken...

Probably be just fine if they were used for truck farming ect., like they were intended to be used for, though...

Had a maple dropped today, paid a pro to drop it because it was so close to both house and garage, and it was over a power line. Way past its prime, not much useful wood left, and it was an accident waiting to happen. Will get tractor pics when I start cleaning it up.

Many of those European articulated tractors are not hydro. Shame.

Articulated tractors tend to be MUCH sturdier. Strong ridgedly mounted axles with no dinky center pivot or steering geometry. Most big loaders and forestry equipment IS of an articulated nature.
