A dock level video of the new boat Algoma Intrepid backing out of BN's ore dock in Superior WI. At 320 he lets out warning honks for a unseen sail boat. Nice film.

Over the weekend we passed through Duluth MN and caught a pic of the dredge barge as we crossed the Blatnik bridge.

we used to fish there, smelt at nite, jillion's!

in wisconsin the bars last call was say... 1am? across the bridge in michigan they either had different laws or a different time zone so you would cross the bridge to get in another hour of drinking! i don't remember which way it went but it was fun.

cleaning smelt with a scissors.

those were the days.

Its been breezy here for 2 days and some boats came off the lake and went to safe harbors. Most are back out on the lake but at this web site, you can see there positions and speed.

Saw a small boat in Milwaukee harbor got blasted into a seawall when the freighter used it's bow thruster coming into the Milwaukee river by Jones island. Most if not all great lakes freighters have them and don't use them sparingly when it's really windy.
