Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 7:30AM. Sunny. Hot. High near 105F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Gradually increasing temps until we hit 109F on Sunday, then tapering off into the low 90s by the end of the 10-day.
California politics may be all screwed up, but I've never had a wheel or brake rotor stuck to a hub, even an alloy wheel. Probably because the weather tax is so high.
Now, this is in no way a 'put-down' of my North American Mates, but she just
can't find a good/decent red wine (Shiraz) anywhere. She's taken to drinking bourbon.

Any suggestions?
I'm partial to Weller's Pot Still, but Basil Haden is very smooth and very reasonably priced.

If you're referring to what we call Sirah, you'll need to qualify what you mean by good/decent. The flavor can vary from sweet and jammy all the way to chewing on bark. For Sirahs and Zins, I prefer the jammy end of the spectrum, and have had luck looking for alcohol percentages of 14% or better. The theory is that if the grape had enough sugar in it at harvest to make that much alcohol, it'll probably have a sweeter profile. In a red blend, again on the sweeter side,
Ménage à Trois Red can be found for about $7 in any decent liquor store, and the winery has a variety of other wines that are well made and reasonably priced.
Neat sunrise photo, Ron. Are those sunspots?
We haven't had any big wildfires this year yet, but I doubt that'll last much longer. When the air gets bad, I've found that an N95 mask, a real, made-in-USA N95, works well enough I can no longer smell the smoke when I'm outside. I bought a Dyson filter for inside the house when particulate levels went over 400 ppm during the Dixie Fire, and had to supplement it with purple filters from 3M in the central heater. Just running the fan part for a few hours would get the levels down into the single digits.
Yesterday's video of what should have been the mail delivery showed the mailman sailing right by the mailbox. So I called the post office, and the gal I spoke with confirmed that my mail was still being held. And that they had no date at which it should be resumed.

I wondered how that could be, as the hold was scheduled on the USPS website. Anyway, she said she'd tell the mailman to deliver it today. I'm not holding my breath.
Got an email off to Mopar tech support asking if the sway bar part numbers I have will fit my van. Automated reply conveyed a case number, so we'll see. The tech working the phone charging problem has yet to respond, and a forum post on it came back with various versions of "they all do that". Also got a recommendation for something called Sumosprings, but I really don't want to increase the ride height just to cure the wallow.
Trip to town uneventful, but confirmed the van is enough wider than the F250 to make parking a little bit trickier. Learned that the side view mirrors easily fold out of the way when they hit something...
Headed south to my buddy's place with the old roof panels from the flying porch cover, and a bunch of used 2x4 and 6x6 wood, to help rebuild a garden shed. From what I saw of it when I was down there last time, it'll be easier to just tear it down and replace it. Anyway, I need to get the metal cut down so it'll fit in the van, so I've got early starts planned to get it done while it's still somewhat cool out. Then siestas the rest of the day.
TGIF gang!
