Not much of a betting man here, but I'd put some depleted Canuck bux on you having to mod many shift linkages (esp. wearing HD boots...).I have Aircraft Carrier sized feet... size 14.5 US...![]()
Yes Sir... it's a challenge sometimes. Also, just finding gear that fits can be a problem. Fortuately, Alpinestars and Klim gear fits me well. I have to re-do all suspension set up on new bikes to accommodate my weight as well. I have some larger pegs for my KLX... haven't been spending enough time off-road to grow weary of the stock ones yet, so haven't changed. I'm about at 10 boot (US), so fortunately there is a well-liked longer shifter off a larger Honda (same spline) that most people really like. Just a coupla bolts..... just need a RoundTuit !Yes Sir... it's a challenge sometimes. Also, just finding gear that fits can be a problem. Fortuately, Alpinestars and Klim gear fits me well. Last year was my final year for riding. I'm just a lot more comfortable on four wheels.
Words to Ride By, was my first thought reading that ^; but it's really more Live By....For those that are still riding, relish every minute you can. The great life isn't forever.
Count me in as one of those wanna-be's. Doc took away my riding days with the verdict 'heart problems with Warfin on the menu'. His/their verdict - Any minor scrape, cuts, or breaks would surely result in bleeding to death before medics could arrive.
That, however doesn't stop me from drooling, oohing, and yes, even often reminising of the many wonder days of riding. In short, there's nothing like face-in-the-wind days of motoring on 2-wheels. For those that are still riding, relish every minute you can. The great life isn't forever.
..... He still looked very fit for his age, but had decided to go 3 wheels..... at their invitation, I spent a bit of time in their garage, drooling over their recently acquired, only a few years old, 'Wing trike.
3Wing - Not an inexpensive option, but she quoted her ScottishCanadian mother "There are no pockets in funeral shrouds".
