Mine spent the first 9 years in my garage in my basement but it was getting too crowded. I finally bought a 14' x 24' storage shed just for the tractor and tractor stuff. It's just a treated plywood floor. I plan to throw down some stall mats to keep the tire chains from chewing it up in the winter. No electricity or heat but otherwise it's great so far.

Id wager, a dirt floor barn on a proper grade, would be fairly dry.

Yesterday I bought stall mats to cover my dirt floor but then I thought "what happens if my tires freeze onto the mats?" Oh well, I guess I will find out.

Something rigid on top of the mats (scrap of plywood?) would prevent them from "following" the tires out, if frozen.

Good idea! I was already planning on having 2x4 scraps under the blower and plow blade.
