Nine inches of winter supposed to arrive tomorrow during the day

I use the weather channel app, because it’s one of the only free weather apps with radar.
It was pretty accurate predicting yesterday’s storm. I measured 8-1/2” of total snow this morning

It’s gonna be cold mornings starting Friday( 0f showing on Thursday night is actually Friday morning)

Bring it on! I hope that it lasts although we know it never will.
I need to dig my winter clothes out when I get home tonight... cotton kills, as you know.

We are done for the most part, 7" of light fluffy powder. Now for the chill to set in Thursday night.
Same for us, 3-5 predicted, got about 7½. (y) Nice dry snow, but I wouldn't call it light & fluffy. Flakes were small, so it's quite dense. Skipped plowing, figure it'll pack nicely and make a good base on the driveway for the rest of the winter. Just shoveled out the end of the driveway, mailbox and around the front steps.
Now to pick my snowmobile up at the shop and take it for a spin around the property (no trails open yet).

I think that's Weather Underground 10day forecast. I like that site too. Some people like text, some like pictures, some like graphs and charts.

I find their graphs a bit hard to read...color blindness makes many of the different liness all look alike.

OK, I'll agree with not light and fluffy, but dry. We already have a nice pack on our driveway, but just discovered the paths I just plowed, were not frozen. Making minor mistakes plowing, but all in all, I've got it down pretty good. Only scalping some grass blades, not turf.

First plowable snowstorm of the season is always a PITA. It's often heavy & wet, and since the ground usually isn't very frozen is miserable to plow without taking many divots.

In years past, I've used tractor and bucket to clear paths to woodshed in case we needed more wood. PIA to do it every snowstorm, so I rarely did. Paid the price twice by getting stuck. 13" ground clearance isn't much...
UTV and plow make it easier, faster and more enjoyable. And my wife bought so she could plow in case something happened to me. So far, she "plowed" two strips down level driveway and thinks she knows how to plow.

Accuweather is free and has radar.

Sure. That’s why I said one of the only ones for free. I think there’s another also.
I went with the weather channel because it’s got a 6 hour future radar in high resolution, and 24 hours in low resolution. Accuweather is only 2 hours future for free.
I really like the 6 hour radar. It’s pretty accurate and I can zoom right in on my area.

I used to use weather underground until they sold out to IBM, and they totally ruined it
