Haven't been here in a while. but was motivated to post this for others. Yanmar 2000B...bushogging 2 weeks ago, gets hot, shut it off. Open radiator and...what a mess, looks like it's full of sand! Remove it, take to radiator shop, get it recored. $250 as opposed to $350 for new. Reinstall and...
Worked YM2000B all day, went to restart it to put back in the barn, turned key backwards accidentally, to "TS", as I was getting in the seat, oops! Turned to the right, and ... nothing, and all lights, everything is out. Must have blown main fuse somewhere? Is it located behind dash with all...
My YM 2000B won't start...here are the symptoms, (battery is charged & good) When I trun the key, I have gauge lights, turn to start and hear a click and then nothing. Next turn there are no gauge lights, everything is dead. Wait a few minutes and turn of the key makes gauge lights to work...
OK, I just installed a ROPS with seatbelts on my Yanmar. I have never had one before and it has been years! Is the general consensus to always wear the seatbelt? It is just so strange to me to strap in. Isn't roll bar enough? Does everyone 100% of the time use the belt? My old Ford has ROPS and...
I have future plans for building a lake on my land and am shopping for a professional dam builder in central NC. When I check the yellow pages I see a lot of grading companies, nobody specifically mentions dams. I am not talking about digging a shallow hole for a pond. I am going to build a dam...
Got in to a debate about when to fertilize new ground for pasture grasses. I always disk it up good, spread the fertilizer, disk that in, wait a week or two, and hopefully rain, then broadcast the seed. Other guy says he fertilizes after it comes up. What do you guys say?
Anybody else got long weekend plans like me? I'm going to cut up my 2 acre food plot field currently in winter rye with the BB rippers, in anticipation of planting clover in about a month. Figured that will give me time to get my soil sample back from the AG dept. Gives me a hot date with the...
I'd like to hear from those that have remote property that brought you to this board. How far away is it and how often do you get there? I'll start. I live in suburbia but have 100 acres in the country 37 miles away. Takes me about 42 minutes to get there, and I'm there just about every weekend...
After changing my fuel filter, I turned the bleeder screw and the head twisted off, leaving the screw in place! Any thoughts on how to get it out, or will I have to replace the whole assembly? See photo attached.
Took a couple of shots of my cabin getaway this weekend. It is a stick built "dutch barn". I modified existing plans, raising the wall height, adding windows, and deeper lofts. Sleep "upstairs" in the lofts, with open floor space below, cabin is 12' X 20' built for a serious low budget! Great...
I am researching propane heaters for a small cabin. There are blue flame models, (convection) and infrared ceramic plaque heaters, same BTU. Anybody have experience with both to compare? Glo-Warm is the manufacturer, sold at Home Depot and on sale right now! Thanks for any input!
These three tractors are within 3hp of my target of 30HP. They are so similar I can't determine the differences. They are all the same size, same 3 cy YM engine, etc. Can someone enlighten me? Why would JD need 3 so close to each other? Kind of like the Chevy Tahoe vs GM Yukon...same truck...
I have read about this but cannot visualize how it works. My old tractor just goes up and down smoothly. Does it mean that there are "stops" every 1/4 inch? Does that make it hard to hook up implements? Help me understand what it means real world. Thanks!
