    Stump grinder

Was just looking at the same on my setup and eyeballing the lightly touched inside circle of teeth. Did you spend any time trying to re-sharpen any of the teeth you removed? I have not sharpened anything like this and wonder if it's just a matter of grinding the flat surface back slightly...

    Stump Chipper

Harbor Freight sells boxes of zerk fittings for about $6. I replaced several 45 degree fittings on my older attachments. The 45s are two-piece in most cases so I didn't have to use up the few 45s in the HF package... I could just replace the tip which screwed onto the the 45 degree base. The...

    Stump Chipper

Mostly Southern pine here ... if it's a fresh stump of that size, it can take upwards of 15 minutes. If it it's old and dry, it could be under 5 minutes. Oak and some other varieties here can be a real bear and take upwards of 20 minutes. Almost all of mine are on a hillside so I have some...

    Stump grinder

125 down, still about 100 to go (that I've found so far) Only major "uh oh" is that my toplink had been screwed out almost to the end and I forgot about this... after about 100 stumps the toplink fell apart from the vibration while the grinder was going full tilt (540RPMs). Blessing/good...

    Stump grinder

received a WG24 last Wednesday. Have ground almost 50 stumps to date. So far so good. need to figure out a heavier duty sway stabilizer on my Kubota L4600H. If you dig in just a little bit too much, the grinder slams to the right (facing forward) and that play in the 3 point makes it...

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

So far, the nozzle hasn't been the problem -- maybe this was a virgin plastic bunch? Just the seals which go around the base gave out after 2 years. The nozzles are 3 to 4 years old and I use them with both mixed gas and 100% gas. I got a couple of the red rubber 1-1/2 inch plumbing seals...

lowe's wrong chain saw in box

there was a thread on here about Walmart auto parts (filters in particular) being returned with used equipment in the box for other unsuspecting customers to buy. Any short read of how things got in the 1930s leads to the phrase, "desperate times lead to desperate measures".

stupid simple question: fuel-safe/fuel resistant material for seals on gas spouts?

I made the mistake of giving a legit email to gasspouts.com several years ago and get bombarded by their emails. I've lost a couple of the seals that go in the spouts... will never buy their overpriced nonsense again ( would buy ATV fuel can spouts and the like ) would food grade silicone...

Oil & Fuel Raptor Brand (3d party) Filters on Amazon

p.s. I asked an ebay distributor about what quality checks they applied to re-selling the Raptor branded products. Response is no surprise but a big red flag regarding 3rd party filter components: Translation: if Raptor (or another 3rd party) changes the guts of a filter to glass filings...

160 - "PLUG"? here There are also a couple of plugs on the diagram above this one in the parts lookup -- they're a bit further back if I'm looking at this correctly and may be closer to the location on yours...
