It's the Toyosha 3 cyl diesel. Of course, Toyosha doesn't actually exist anymore but there are compatible parts. In my case the engine appears to be sound. It was running before the rodents got into the wiring. Now, I don't "really" have a need for the tractor but I like working on it.
Well, I gather from reading around more from complaints rather than advice that the regulator/rectifier goes under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. The complaints seem to be around the buildup of heat where that metal would get hot to the touch.
