ok so i found where the pin goes the drift shaft doesnt have a spot for it to go into. So now the question is does it matter if you have a drift shaft and plate that has this pin? can you tighten the big spring on the back to take up the slack?

it think clutch went in my 8n . i would like to know is there a way i can see if it is the clutch or a gear in the transmission that went? i was using the tractor, then it made a noise and quite moving, and no pto or hydraulics. Thanks Kool Cat

this is looking to the front of the tractor

long story short I was pushing a a little pile of dirt over with my loader and the tractor stopped, without warning. No gears (forward or backwards) but I have Hydraulics . So my question is Are the Hydraulics hooked to the clutch? I drained all the gear oil out nothing in it, didn't look too bad.

i was thing about buying a bushhog for my 8n. is there any thing i should be looking for, do to being a older tractor? :confused3:

I never had anything with hydralics before just wondering how much hydralic oil should be in the holding tank. Its a old massey ferguson loader series 99

will this number tell me anything about my tractor
