A bit of light wet snow this morning, warming up to about 40 today. Sadly one of the boats fishing for herring capsized overnight, four of the crew were rescued but one crew member that was in the engine room went down with the boat. Happened about 20 miles up the coast from us.

Nice day yesterday, though a bit cool. Looks like another good one today with a high of around 40. Managed to go around the corner to the next street that is water front and got a picture of Chrome lighthouse with a fishing trawler catching herring. After going to the gym will spent a good part...

About one inch of snow that is melting fast. See the herring fleet is off shore, should be fishing for about one week. Going to go around the corner and see if I can get a picture of a fishing boat and Chrome lighthouse in the background.

Frosty this morning but nice to have the sun shinning in a blue sky. Still a bit of snow on the ground as it will only warm up to about 38-40 today. I can hear the sea lions barking, herring are on their way.

Still dark out but we did get a couple of more inches of snow overnight, should get to 45 today so hope most of it melts today.

Snow is almost gone, rain today with a high of 7 C.

Some of our snow has melted, down to about 6-8 inches on the ground. Sunny and a high of 10C today should help the melt. Tomorrow night they are forecasting a rain storm with up to 4-5 inches of rain over a 3 day period.

For the past few years we have had long drought like summers. Had fir trees die that were over 100 years old. But boy did we end up milling some gorgeous lumber out of the four trees we took down. Lots of snow on the hills and mountains, so yes great for this coming summer.

Got a line on a local guy with a big snowblower who will do it for reasonable $. We have not had much snow here for at least 5 years so no need to shovel, plow or snowblow in that time. Good chance it will be a few years before we get this much snow again. There is a town called Campbell River...

I was doing a lot of huffing and puffing, had two helpers; snow was wet so pretty heavy. Another storm coning in Wednesday late afternoon, supposed to start as snow and then turn to heavy rain. We haven't had this much snow for a few years, what the heck happened to global warming?

We sold the farm about a year ago, but still like my tractor by net groups. Living on 1/2 acre now.
