My seat button is tough too. When I try to lower it I worry I might loose a finger when it finally disengages and lowers. This model (or maybe brand) has some small engineering challenges but after almost 2 years I’m still very happy with the work it does for me.

I didn’t read my work email until today but my dealer replied on Friday. He will be ordering a replacement valve on Monday. Availability is another matter in these times we are living but I have nothing but great things to say about Barlow Ag in Gettysburg PA!

Sorry for your troubles but you got me thinking and I moved my BH back into a lean-to behind my barn. It’s been out in the weather for about a month and I never imagined the controls getting that rusty under the boots.

I wound up grinding on the thumb and a little bit off the bucket gusset. I can always weld something back in if the bucket appears to weaken. I also ground off the tabs on the adjustable brace so I can use the close pivot and store the thumb up against the dipper when it’s not in use.
