B7500 HST with FEL and backhoe:
I need to move this tractor from Washington State to Arizona.
The unit is about 17 feet long with the backhoe cocked to one side.
It will fit on my car hauler trailer.

I prefer to not do the hauling myself due to the time and distance involved.
I'd like to hire it out.
Does anyone have recommendations or cautions for this endeavor?

Get insurance information sent to you directly from their insurance company. Only way for you to know if they have insurance in effect. Verification can be sent e-mail, fax, postal mail. You will also be notified if it’s dropped or canceled.

Make sure it is valid for what they do and the states they will or might go through and that it will cover the cost for you to replace the equipment. It’s a detail many over look and is rarely needed, but it is a bad day to find out the hard way when its needed.

I had a 5k lbs JD4320 hauled from Arkansas to Arizona @$2.00 a loaded mile.

New dump trailer delivered from Texas @ $1.50 per loaded mile.

Both hauler were genuine truckers, it's not cheap.

The OP should be easily able to beat the (hot shot) above mentioned $2 per loaded mile price.
With U-Ship, the tractor will likely be less than 1/3 of a trailerload.

Before I posted here I contacted U-Ship and got a quote for $1500.
That's $1.00 a mile and seems too cheap to me. They would have to piggy back it with another load.
Otherwise, there'd be no money in it for them.
Thanks for the input - I'm gaining a little confidence now.

Those are amazing rates. I deal with trucking fairly regularly and rates are high now. $3-$4 a mile is pretty common on equipment hauling it is insane. I have been trying to get a three point rototiller hauled here for a month. It woul fit in the back of a pickup and is 600 miles away. Cheapest quote I have got was $1500.

I guess I don’t understand why people don’t haul stuff themselves. If you drive 600 miles one way, stay the night and drive back it’s $500 tops. I realize time is often a factor.

I would need a newer much bigger truck to haul my tractor with with just the rotary cutter and loader/bucket. That doesn't even include my other attachments if I was moving. I would also need a suitably rated trailer. It's probably a lot cheaper to hire it out unless your business is moving your tractor and other equipment to jobs.
