2 thumbs up for valve stems that will last longer than us Lou.

in anticipation of weedwacker crew I got a quick mow in, so they could easily see what was left for them.
and of course they haven't shown up. I want the place to look nice for this Saturday when my helper crew and landlord
are here to drop some smaller trees in the woods. Forecast for Saturday looks good.

got done just before the sweat started.
I think I've done enough for today
had to crack parked car door to let out some heat, have a inside windshield cover to protect the dash but
sun comes in. An exterior reflective one, like I just put back on the rv a few minutes ago, is likely to be a better solution

I chatted a little with Ted. Dona is in remission, in between and doing fair, back still hurts,
but she is giving it the good fight. Ted sounded good. We talk because he knows I went through the same thing.
He said they got a tiny bit of rain which helped with the dust.

tomorrow morning in cool of morning will fiddle with car speakers.
lawn is mowed, plants are watered, tomatoes are tied up,
birds are fed, I think it's time to put
up the sign that Thomas gave me when he wants to
go home early
Closed Early

Diverter issue was a loose hot lead in the male Weather Pack connector (along with a missing seal)

Just jammed it in there for now … that got the jaws opening and closing.

Topped up the gear oil in the front axle and we were off to the races (in very short order, quite literally as it turned out)

The area I’m working to clear (after the first bite):

Started making a brush pile with that further back in the property, more towards the middle, away from the property lines.

Well, there was a multi-flora rose back there kind of in the way … and a couple of small saplings plus a rotted tree stump … so I decided I’d rip those out and get them out of the way.

Bad idea … I was instantly swarmed.

Not entirely sure what they were. They were big … but not quite as big as bald-faced hornets.

I managed to shut the Kubota off and dismount fairly gracefully.

I did not get stung … which makes me think they might have been carpenter bees.

Anyways, phone was almost out of charge (= no tunes) so I decided to come on in, charge up the phone, and give them a chance to settle down.

I just hope I don’t have the nest in the jaws of the grapple ...

Dennis, my oldest son has decided that our Vermont house is to hot in the summer, so he went out and bought a system to handle 1500 sq ft. All the bedrooms have AC window units but the family room and kitchen dining area do not. So I think he is using Paul’s advice and buying a pump and other tools to do the job right rather than going with a pre charged line set. I told both sons I have room in my electrical panel to give them a separate 20 amp circuit. So we will see how that goes.
Let me know how that goes.
would think with evac, you would need to add more refrigerant if not using precharged line set. That opens up another can of worms. most units have enough charge for a short line set, but would need to add as long as mine is.

All of our mail boxes are on a neighbors property. Mail only services one side of the street in our area so the driver can just make a loop.

So all mail boxes get installed on the edge of the ditch on the east side of our street.
all mail boxes here are in the road ROW. my property line is 20 ft or so short of the road edge. my mailbox is across the road, tight against a steep bank almost straight up.

that makes sense
my neighbor had a choice, there was room on his side, but he just found the big open area and dug a hole.
so in my case, this was avoidable. He's a mason and I'm afraid he sunk that post in concrete...
property was just resurveyed, only now clear where the line was.
Need someone to back a truck into it? lol

Lou's post reminded me, I couldn't get Ranger to start the other day, ran battery down trying, need to get it on charger.

Another day working on deck2, finished the post move, all bracing back on, deck boards screwed back down on deck1, then taped joists on upper deck2 (the 8x8 section level with deck1). Then after lunch started putting on some trex, got over half on before I ran out of energy.
Tomorrow DR appointment that will prohibit any work.
