This unsightly line? lol, saw this driving up I81 this week.

I've seen a couple of those, and I have always wondered how long they last. Many refrigeration compressors aren't very tolerant of vibration and debris. I would not do it without an extra filter.

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, moderate breeze. Light wind, moderate to brisk gust, sky partly cloudy in morning, mostly cloudy in afternoon buildups, thunderstorms in area but minimal rain, and high temp was 93ºF, HI 105ºF. Made coffee to start day, Grief Share, bike ride, mow front yard. lunch, nap, tried to meet someone for dinner but missed connections.

would think with evac, you would need to add more refrigerant if not using precharged line set. That opens up another can of worms. most units have enough charge for a short line set, but would need to add as long as mine is.

Most minisplits come with a chart telling you how much to add for additional line sets.
With a conventional system you would just add to get the sub cooling or superheat (depending on the expansion device) to the target value.
On a mini split or the high seer units that is all controlled by varying compressor and fan speed and the stepper motors on the expansion devices, so the only way to do it is to weigh the calculated charge into the system.

Morning all!
Currently 68 going to close to 100 today.
Today will be a recovery day as I spent 5 hours yesterday pressure washing the garage at the apartment house. This is not recommended for anybody my age! Lol!
Neck and wrist are screaming at me this morning! Up since 2 am.

I still need to do the far wall side but ran out of pep!! Maybe I'll go back tomorrow but highly unlikely.
I think next time we will have to pay someone to do this.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 67° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 83° with thunderstorms. Yesterday did get maintainace on Garden Pond done. Also got one last coat of paint on Trac-Vac floor. Birds keep pushing perch dowels out of their mounting holes. I put screws and washers on ends of dowels. When that was completed it was time to get in house where it was cool. No plans for today yet.
Play time for young Squirrels.
