2014 Cub Cadet GTX 2154, 180 hours.
My buddy had traded for it and didn't need it. I've been wanting a new mower so he left it for me to keep or sell for him. It mows really nice but is way too big for my yard so I posted it for sale. A guy shows up to try it out and this thing has made me...
Here are a few from early 2014 when I had 65 heifers calving. They're of the RTV, hope that counts.
This week, Saturday afternoon ran into Sunday morning. Happened to look down at just the right time to catch the tractor rolling 1600 hours while mowing hay.
Hello,
Trying to add pics from phone using new iPhone app. They worked a few short days ago but now says "pics disabled from app"
I CAN add them to this thread it seems.
Yup, that worked.
Why won't it let me on the other thread?
Edit,
Never mind, I went back, using the same method as...
Got it apart. Flushed the case with diesel and found what was left of the clip. Parts are ordered and should arrive Wednesday.
Everything looks good other than the busted clip.
Thinking real hard I've concluded this was my fault. About 10 minutes before it turned loose I'd been mowing a...
Rhino SE15-4A flex wing mower.
I've been told it is a light duty model, I don't think it is based on weight and overall construction, but I've been wrong that one time before.
Was clipping some grass and the tone of the mower suddenly changed. No pop or bang. Didn't hit anything (today...
I tried to type this out but a picture borrowed from online is better.
The S will be lower than the main range. So HS is slower than H and LS is slower than L. Seems like there is overlap in HS with L and H. I can't remember ever using it.
LS is great for garden work.
Now, what are...
Here's a reason to leave it on. I mowed a couple of lots today for a real estate company, to tidy them up for pictures. On the first 20-something acre lot there was a dead cedar tree laying in a small field by a creek. Very visible from the road. 2 minutes with the loader and it was out of...
After my worksite tires wore out on my 900 I bought Sedona Rip-Saw 26x9x12 front and 26x11x12 rear tires. A buddy had these on his 900 on his mountain farm in winter and I was very impressed with them so I ordered the exact same as his.
They have a 1 1/8" of tread, I run them in mud, snow...
This goes for HD and Slowes...
Seems to me that every time I need help not a d*mn soul can be found that works there. Then, you go in on a time constraint, don't have time to mess around, know exactly what and where each item you need are, you can't turn a corner without some body wanting to...
I added two more flashers, like the fender mounted ones, up high under the canopy. I took the trailer plug-in apart and tapped in to the turn signal wires inside of it.
At the same time I added six led flood lights.
We just got new front load Samsung washer and dryer for the new place, very nice units.
What I'm having trouble with is the washer likes to scoot out about 6" during a cycle. It runs smooth, never hear it at all. The dryer makes noise, thumping off balance type noise (with jeans or other...
I've got two from this week.
Still haven't figured out how he accomplished this.
Here we have what's left of a receiver hitch on a Jeep Cherokee. It's cropped tight to block their plate and bumper stickers.
So, we have just closed on a house. It's in a neighborhood, in city limits, which are both new for me (lived in the county my whole life).
Anyway, I'm concerned that my newly acquired prefab shed will be smashed by a tree fork that originates on a neighbors yard.
In my mind I have...
This is what shows up when I try to add more than one pic.
At this point I've selected one pic to upload and went back to add a second one.
It wasn't always like this. I used to add multiple photos without a problem.
iPhone 6
Will this app ever receive updates?
There are things I like about it but there are more I don't.
Off the top of my head the dislikes are...
1) If I edit a post all paragraph structure is lost, and the edit becomes a wall of text.
2) If I try to upload more than one pic at a time I...
I found this door and then later, a good distance apart, the frame it fits in.
It's part of a oven of some sort. The frame is made in such a way that you can tell the rest of the structure would be brick.
I'm the fourth generation on this farm but anyone who would know what its purpose...
Hello all!
We are currently looking for a new gun safe for pistols only. The majority of which are semi auto ranging from full size to sub compact, with a couple snub-nose revolvers thrown in for fun.
At most we are talking 10 pistols for this safe. Most are in factory cases but if a safe...
That's a great deal to fall in to! I dragged my feet and missed a good deal on (another) one myself.
Here is another pic you can show him. As always, 4x5 New Holland bales rolled tight.
I'm right there with ya on that. They are real hard to tip backwards though.
Here is my usual winter load. If it would flip easily this would do it.
1,300 hours with no real need to be replaced, but I've surely got an itch. Still haven't found anything I like as well / better...
I picked these up for when I'm tractoring. They vibrate when the phone rings and are also great for listening to tunes from your phone. The mic does pick up too much noise from the tractor to talk on them with it running, even at idle.
They do require a phone with Bluetooth.
LG TONE PRO HBS760
Found these pics on Tractorhouse of a m7040d. Not sure if there is a difference between the "d" and "su" exhaust wise.
*For some reason the tbn app crashes if I try to add more than one pic at a time so I'll have to make a few separate posts.
It's been so dry here in our part of Southwest Virginia. The kicker is that there has been 30% - 80% chance of rain about every day for the past two week and the next 10 days don't look any different, still no rain.
Being tired of waiting for a good forecast I decided to heck with it and...
The one I just bought has a ssqa plate added but it doesn't interfere with the 3 point hitch. Don't know if they meant for it to be that way or if it just worked out that way. All it would need is longer hoses to be used up front.
With cattle as high as they are right now all us cattle guys worry about this. Please spread the word.

Eddie, with the amount of other projects you have I can understand tossing something as cheap as a spot light.
The problem I have now is that the wall charger won't charge the battery. I've took the battery pack apart but haven't found a replacement yet.
Any ideas?
I paid $105 each for 26x9R12 fronts and $115 each for 26x11Rx12 rears. I wouldn't go that wide on the rear again.
Sedona Rip Saw R/T, 6 ply radial, 1 1/8" deep lugs.
Bought from Smith Family Power Sports on Amazon. Had them in three days.
Calving season has arrived. That means a lot of late nights.
It came to my attention tonight that my spot light has bit the dust. I suspect the battery has corroded, because I can't even pry it loose from the base. It is a Brinkman Max Million, it worked great last year even in -0 temps in...
The whole screen is greyed out or shaded. I can click any where and nothing happens. There is no way to back out or change the screen at that point except for to close the app and start over.
:(
In comparison this is what it would look like if I started a thread in the safety section.
iPhone 5 here, running the latest update.
Just now I wanted to start a new thread in the Kubota owning/operating section. Clicked "new thread" then the normal screen where you add a title shows up but its all greyed out with a box at the bottom that says something like "add prefix", problem is...
We've had our share of snow in the past three weeks, it will warm up enough to make a muddy mess, rain then refreeze and snow some more. I've honestly lost count of how much we've had over all. Yesterday it got up in the 50's melting most of what snow was left and causing some minor flooding...
Well guys I guess she isn't a baby anymore.
About two hours ago, while loading a trailer with hay, my little girl rolled 1,000 hours.
I had a swig of bourbon and thought of all the things we've done together over the past few years. All the trees we've grubbed, bushes we've...
My dealer had some ssqa brackets in the scrap metal pile that had been bent by rough operators. I got the spare parts your talking about off of one of them. It might be worth checking with your local dealers.
This video gives good information on the practices recommended by U of Kentucky.

Most folks around here seem to have went towards using "inline" wrappers, although there are still plenty of the single bale wrappers around.

I am in the process of adding some aux lighting to my tractor. I know just enough about this type stuff to be dangerous and usually learn by trial and error. (Aka "f'ing something up, scraping half a day work and starting over") I'm trying to do this right the first time.
I need help...
I really only have trouble with one of my implements, the 96" box blade. It's not that hooking it up is a problem, it's taking the stupid thing off.
The pins have no head on them and sometimes require a pipe wrench to turn them to remove the linch pin.
If I'd been told that this was...
My laptop is broke down and in the shop, girlfriend left me hers to use. It was issued to her by her university (to keep) and runs Win 7 Enterprise.
It prompts you to "press CTRL+ALT+DEL to log on" Followed by a user name and password.
Today when I try to log on it says "no log on...
Here is one of me today, 14' (although bent) Chain Link gate on the FEL.
It didn't stick out beyond the driver side tire much (it was bent pretty good) but every car I passed gave me a wide path.
Luckily I didn't need to go far.
This year we found this weed in a hay field I have had rented for several years. It is growing in a circle about 30' across. Not knowing what it was I disc mowed around it and bush hogged it later.
Anyone got any idea?
It is pretty eaten up in the second picture...

I am still having problems editing a post from the app. Each time a post is edited all paragraph structure is lost and the post becomes one giant paragraph.
I have deleted and reinstalled the app at least twice in the past months with hopes of fixing the issue.
Please help.
I have been asked a few questions about my solar fence charger set up after responding to another electric fence thread. I had good intentions of posting about the set up when I built it but never took the time. Here goes, pics to follow...

Is this a good idea? I don't know, but I thought it was worth a picture.
Pretty sure the guy sitting in it caught me taking this.
Btw, both had South Carolina tags. This was in SW Virginia.
Can a dump trailer solenoid be replaced using a remote automotive type solenoid?
It's on a Carry On 10' trailer but can't remember the name of the power pack.
Pics to follow.
This is what the wind did to a gate chain latch last night.
It was in the center of two 10' pipe gates that swing together like saloon doors. Never thought the wind could push them enough to do this, not much drag on a pipe gate I wouldn't think.
Hello guys and gals,
My girlfriend will be graduating nursing school this fall. We have been looking very casually for our first home together and she has been on my tail to get her a ring.
Some real nice folks that own property which connects to my family farm have bought another home...
Seeing how much TBN enjoys pictures here are a few. Here is the newborn in question piled up in the laundry room and my Red Heeler "Layla" in mommy mode.
This afternoon a calf was born and I arrived just a few minutes (10-15) later. His mother was cleaning him off but I quickly noticed something wasn't right. He had problems breathing, quick breaths and a rapid heart rate. I cleared the junk in his nose and mouth and laid him on a table with...
This pic is a few days old but...
I needed to move my cows about a mile from where they were to a new field and this guy was only about 5 hours old. I figured I'd save him the trouble of walking. He seemed to enjoy the ride.
I was sitting here half watching TV and half browsing TBN. One of those ambulance chasing lawyers just played an ad for big cash settlements (or what ever they always promise) to people who had been injured by a table saw.
Dear God. I cut my wittle finger with a Case pocket knife the...
There was much more liquid than I thought in the tank, from watching it pour out I'm guessing 20+ gallons @ 2/3 - 3/4 diesel and the rest nasty water.
So this is what happens when you dump the questionable contents of a used fuel tank into an old loader bucket and set it on fire...
I have been looking for a way to haul two bales of hay at a time on the 3pt. A dealer had a double spear set up but it was like $650, yeah right. I remembered this old Hesston Hay stack mover that my Grandpaw used back in the day.
It works pretty good after I readjusted the tine spacing...
This tank followed me home the other day. It's 3 years old, double walled 500 gal (I think  ), 12v pump with ~20' cables, Goldenrod filter set up, auto nozzle with 20' hose. All included is a little north of $1200 new, I scored it for $400 delivered!
It has some crud...
Thank you Larro.
I have read several studies on grazing cattle under pines.
AGRIMAN,
Yes, she (as it turns out) was just sunning.
Here are two from today.
Thank you.
Yes I'm sorry, should have mentioned the fact that he (she?) took off like a streak of lightning the second I tried to get closer. He (she?) is two days old.
Six down, only 58 more to go!
Here are a few more from this past week.
I bought some bred heifers in December that started to calve this week. This little guy was just hanging out alone this morning so I thought I'd check on him.
With the pin in position I marked where the washer needed to be.
We ground off a bit of the flared end to get everything to slide on easy.
I used a 10mm washer.
The spring came from Century Spring Corp. part # C-740 (5/8 x 2 1/2 x .080)
I removed half of a coil off the end of the spring...
While I am waiting for mine to warm up I just thought of this. Not 100% fail proof but it was fast and easy. Maybe some of you guys can try this until you implement a more permanent solution.
I forgot to add...
For all of you guys who CC in the States, there is a great app to show the CCW laws in each state, which states you can legally carry in with your permit, ect. You just enter which state(s) permit you have and it shows you just about every thing you need to know.

My dealer knew I'd been searching for a top handle saw. Today he called to tell me he had only one Husqvarna T435 left and if I wanted a good deal to head on over ASAP.
I'm a Stihl guy, but the deal he gave me I couldn't pass up.
How many shades of orange (Kubota, Allis Chalmers...
I'm guessing he has the style with a pin you push to release the shaft from the tractor instead of the collar type. They are usually held in the coupler with a E clip or a snap ring. I'm thinking that is what he has removed.
Here is a diagram I shamelessly borrowed. See key #1.
Our 1 year old ACD, Layla, says "Merry Christmas" to all of TBN.
Here she is one short year and 50 lbs ago, the day we picked her out of the litter.
And her first tour of the farm on the RTV.
I finally got around to seeing and driving the new 1120 and was impressed with the ride quality but still not sold on the 2 gear ranges or the guts sticking out past the rear tires. Huge mistake IMHO.
I realize some of these photos are bad but I was trying to exclude faces in...
A local nursery is winding down for the year and possibly not returning in the spring so they had everything on sale. I asked if they would make deal on a large purchase of 5 gallon fruit trees, mostly Yellow Delicious apple. They sold me 24 five gallon fruit trees for $300, which would...
Tonight I received a voicemail to the Google Voice phone number I use for Craigslist. The caller wanted to buy an item I had listed some time ago, I actually thought the add would have expired by now. He stated he wanted to pay cash and could pick the item up immediately. Sounds good right...
How about this little guy??
From the package..."Orange by KTC. For the man or woman with a love of the tractoring lifestyle. A premium mix of ULSD exhaust, UTD2 and moly grease with subtle hints of freshly mowed thistle, newly plowed soil and cow poo."
Just kidding... That would have...
I know on our 885 DB the 3 point hitch has been a major headache. I've had it "fixed" twice. I rarely bother to use the 3ph any more and just rake hay with it now.
Hello,
I've been having a small issue using the TBN app on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.
If I make a post and later need to edit it, for spelling or what ever, the edited post is stripped of the space between paragraphs, making one huge unreadable paragraph. I can go back and add them but...
Today a friend called to see if I had time to go help him get a few things his Dad bought at an equipment auction on Saturday. While we were waiting for our turn to load we walked through some of the junk they had and came upon this little Deere 35D that was bent up pretty bad but other wise...
My dealer invited me to look at the base 900 today, freshly unloaded and still in pieces. I haven't driven one yet but after looking at them they didn't impress me.
Too much plastic down low, susceptible to sticks flying up ect.
4x4 shifter is now low in the floor.
I believe I'll miss M...
Had I known 4 cell phone pictures and a little story would cause such a fuss.....
I had thought about hauling another M9540 up to where the incident occurred but hated the thought of adding another trip with the trailer up and back if it could be avoided. Then while thinking it over I...
A few of you may know I've been trying to get a bush hogging service started. Last week I had a nice 35 - 40 acre job about 18 miles from home. I moved the tractor and mower on Thursday evening and put in about 10 hours overall on Friday. Just as I was getting done the owner shows up and...
Industrial yes, that's what I was thinking, RTI.
Like this.
The other wide front ends look like coffee straws compared to this one. I personally think its the only one that would support the extra weight of a loader.
The only problem is I don't think the serial number matches to an RTI.
From today's little hike on the Brumley Mountain Trail to The Channels. http://www.dof.virginia.gov/print/stateforest/Channels-brochure.pdf
I had a hard time picking just one photo, so here are several favorites.

I use lots of temporary fence. I would look for the plastic step-in posts if you don't already have the steel posts. They are easy to install and remove.
Another thing I've done when crossing a large gravel area and needed a moveable post in the middle is to put a post in a 5 gal bucket...
I went to see my dealer the other day to BS and he mentions a "load of junk out back" that was just traded for. So we ride around back to check it out. Among the junk is a Kodiak HD 8' pull type bush hog he thinks I might like and shoots a price of $800. Acting like I was less than impressed...
All the time. You don't want them super sharp, they'll just dull that much faster. All I do is knock off any parts of the edge that are curled upwards from hitting rocks, ect. When I'm done the edge isn't straight across but full of little nicks from those rocks.
Well I am happy to say that with the large amounts of rain we've had this year all the trees seem to be doing well so far. Except for 4-5 that got eaten by the bush hog, more on that later.
There is one particular species of tree that seems to be doing extremely well. Keep in mind these...
Hello All!
I am wanting to get serious about bush hogging for others. Before something happens I'll later regret I'm wanting to get some insurance. What do I need to look into? General liability? Anything else?
Thanks,
Derek
We use a currently use a 3pt Shaver HD10 with manual hand crank (vs hydraulic) adjustment.
It has driven countless miles of fence posts on everything from flat creek bottoms to steep rocky hillsides. It has no problem sinking 8" gate posts and 4-5" posts can take as few as 5 or 6 good licks...
Alright gentlemen, after reading the replies and looking some more I found the problem(s).
At first I switched the park lamp relay with the starter relay. That solved half the problem, the ones under the head lights came on but the ones on the roof still wouldn't work. I was stumped.
I...
Today I am fiddling with my Dad's 2004 GMC 3500 Duramax. The marker/park/running lights (whatever you wish to call them) will not burn. The problem started when he took the center cluster of cab lights loose due to one bulb not burning, after he put it back together none of them work. We put...
If they do not have a sliding collar then the hoses simply pull straight out. Engine off, float the valve, grab the hose and pull.
Does it look like this one?
I have seen a couple of different types of hitches on pull type bush hogs.
Most can be pulled with a standard receiver hitch and hitch pin by removing the ball.
Others require a clevis type receiver hitch.
Can you just call who has the cutter to be certain which one you'll need?
Although I have the M9540 the hood should be the same, except the decals.
You can remove the gas strut to gain a little extra height, but then someone is stuck holding the hood up.
The hood appears to me as though it can not be separated from the hinges. The hinge/hood has to be unbolted...
Yes, I am happy with it.
Here is what you can expect as far as sound dampening goes.
It doesn't look like much but I guess it does its job.
One thing I did on the Deere to make it more enjoyable to drive was to turn the exhaust outlet away from the canopy. That helped a lot.
I just now walked by the broken fitting laying on my bench and remembered your post. I got a wrench and clamped the coupler in the vice. By God you're right, it will come apart! Now I'm thinking of having my buddy just weld it back together.
BTW... The coupler is made by FASTER, I can not...
I've had my 15' Rhino bush hog behind the 9540 for a few days clipping pasture. This afternoon I thought everything had been going way too easy. I was right.
I was chugging along at about 4-5 mph and suddenly heard a bang, turned around and the mower was no longer attached! The hitch pin had...
Oh yeah! Not only do they look bad-a they take amazing video. Scoot on over to YouTube and search for GoPro, there are tons of videos.
And they are tiny!
Hello all!
I have been looking for a camera that would stand up to life on the farm. I had been using my iPhone 4s in a Lifeproof case, but it wasn't doing everything I wanted.
Last week I settled on a GoPro Hero3 Black edition. It is a very cool camera with lots of accessories such as...
It seems like everyone is pretty much on the same page with each other!
So for the sake of being different I have to ask, is slate available in your area?
Over the winter I built a slate road thought part of the farm that's a little over a 1/2 mile long. I prepared the road bed by removing...
I just had a little over an acre of bare-root hardwood trees planted (125 total) as part of my EQIP project.
They guy that planted them said the soil type was great, the timing of planting (early April) was great and I could expect 85% - 90% survival rate.
I am wanting to increase this...
The first picture shows the same hill as the second one, prior to being mowed. I go up forwards actually. If you click on the picture to make it bigger, then click on it again to zoom-in you can see the tire tracks.
I was using a M125x Kubota with the rear tires loaded and the loader on...
I bought a Blue Diamond spear with two long bottom tines. The only disadvantage I see is small diameter bales, as mentioned earlier, can tear out when the tines are too close to the outside. The way around that is to spear them low, like right at the ground, that way you are more or less...
Alright gentlemen, my dear ol' Dad bought this at an auction on Saturday.
I don't even know if it works. Actually I haven't even got around to bringing it home yet!
Anyway I was wondering if you all could tell me two things...
1) What is the approximate year of this rig?
2) Was $110 in an...
While reading another thread about bush hogs i figured I'd update this one.
I bought a used 15' Rhino for myself at the end of the year. It came with new blades and stump jumpers, the old stump jumpers were cracked but the old blades looked fine to me.
I've mowed about 35 acres so far, 10 of...
Hello everyone,
I'm in a position where I need to order some business cards. I know exactly what I want to have on them except one little detail, I don't know what to put as my job title. I know that sounds ridiculous but this is a new position in the company.
I work for an equipment...
Yesterday I got couple shots of the grandstands and the fleet of shuttle busses at the Worlds Fastest Half Mile, Bristol Motor Speedway!
And a place called Back Bone Rock. The tunnel is man made and iirc was built for a narrow gauge logging railway.
I hope not! I work at a car auction on Fridays (sale day) and it is no fun to clear snow off of 160+ cars by 10AM.
This was what it looked like two or three weeks ago.
Ask and ye shall receive!
Ok I was wrong it is a SE model, not a SD. Not sure of the difference.
It's got used aircraft tires, belts instead of chains (some of which are missing), good paint, good hoses and brand new blades, stump jumpers and SMV. According to the stickers it was sold new...
Now here is what the dash of the tractor looks like. I never got it apart because I couldn't figure out how to get the top bolt loose. Anybody know how? It is directly in the center where the two halves meet.
Any way there is a bolt on each side to be removed for each picture.
I...
Yeah buddy.
Here is what the brake switch on a RTV looks like, first with the brake "off" and then with the brake "on". Please don't mind the dirt and seed residue, I use it as intended. :)
Well guys ovrszd and I worked out a fair price and he built me a skid plate like his. It arrived via UPS the other day in two pieces.
Weighing in at 40lbs this thing is well built!
He PM'ed me the correct size and quantity of bolts I needed to buy and I waited until it came in to even...
After letting the glue dry over night it's finally time to turn on the water and adjust the floats.
When I turned on trough #2 no water came out. Upon closer inspection this little ball of dry grass turned out to be the problem.
All set and ready to go.
My...
Here are few more off of my computer. Shown here are three different M9540's, a M9000, a M125x, three different Vermeer balers (5400, 5500, 505XL), two Vermeer TM700 mowers, a Kuhn FC 303 GC mower, a Tonutti rake and I think thats all folks. Enjoy.
After setting the anchors it is time to install the float and valve.
I thought that I had plenty of pictures to help explain this step but after reviewing them they seem to be lacking.
The first thing is to remove the valve supply fitting from the included goodie bag. It is simply a 90...
Once you've got the through back on your marks you drill the holes for the concrete anchors and install them, since my concrete was less than a day old I didn't tighten them up all the way. With 70 gallons of water plus the weight of the trough it will weigh ~712#'s, I thought it would be ok...
I've been on the hunt for a 15' bushhog for my M9540. The primary use will be clipping open pasture but will occasionally see some cedar trees, rose bushes, rocks and all the other good stuff you can find on overgrown, neglected rented ground.
It's been muddy this week and I've pretty much got...
Real trees for me. Got a nice 10' plus in the living room and a waist high "Snoopy" tree in the bed room. Both locally grown Virginia White Pine also.
When I looked at them he didn't have what I wanted (big enough for the living room or small enough for the bed room) so he cut them both...
Now you open up the packet. In it are the directions, the float and valve, concrete anchors with brackets, insulation strip for the bottom of the trough, insulation for the 3/4" supply line and the drain plugs. All you need in addition are the tools, a Sharpie, pipe glue and Teflon tape...
After letting the concrete dry over night it was time to install the troughs. Amazingly I brought all the tools I needed with me. They include a sawzall, pipe glue and primer, my special Mirafont tool, pliers, tape measure, rags, drill with concrete bit, small sledge hammer, Teflon tape and a...
Maybe, I know for a fact that he loves beer. He'll sit on his butt like a dog and drink as many as I am willing to give him. Notice that you want to keep your fingers as far away from his teeth as possible. I like my fingers.
Just a few minutes after having my forms ready 2 yards of concrete arrived.
As soon as I had smoothed it out the way I wanted the truck load of 2" stone arrived. Almost like I had planned it that way.
I spread the stone around with the skidsteer. These...
After all the slate was pretty much where I needed it to be we packed it in real good with a D3.
Next I set up the forms so I could pour concrete for the troughs to sit on.
After all the water line was installed I let the glue dry for two or three days. Better safe than sorry. I then pressure tested the line for two more days before back filling every thing.
Water trough #1 was on a hill side that I benched out. It received 6 single axle dump truck loads of...
Each one of the troughs has its own cut off valve should it need servicing. The vertical line that enters the trough is reduced to 3/4" and runs through 15" corrugated pipe, called a heat well. This allows warmth from the ground to heat the bottom of the trough, keeping it from freezing in the...
I'll start here by explaining the basic layout of the water line. It consists of the 1 1/2" line running 3/4 the length of the field. Off of this line are two spurs at 1/4 and 3/4 the length of the field. These spurs feed the water troughs, which are as close to the center of the field as...
I bought a new RTV 900 in '09. It now has 600 hours. Before that I had a '06 Honda Rancher with electric shift, with about 1200 hours.
I spent a ton of money going through the top end of the Honda right after I got the RTV and haven't even driven it since. It still starts last time I tried...
I thought I would share my experience of installing some water line and two livestock watering facilities. With these two waters I now have a total of six Mirafount waters for the cattle. The project began in mid/late October and was wrapped up a couple weeks ago.
Here are the things I did...
Wearing Muck boots works too, usually that is. :)
My new charger came with a fault finder / remote control. I can turn the power off from anywhere along the line by touching the remote to the wire and holding down the button. It is pretty cool and very handy!

I took some photos of my wheels. The outside edge of the rears seem to track the outside edge of the fronts. I think both could be set out one notch farther if desired, maybe two on the front.
BTW, I have cast centers, two sets of cast weights and fluid in the rear.
As for...
Here is a good friends all original '52 8N with 1100 hours sitting in the middle of some hay fields I rent from him.
Notice the factory wheel weights, front and rear.
