Yes, mine does it too. I was also told it is "normal". They are "quarter inching" valves, meaning it will move a 1/4" with either up or down. When there is an implement (weight) on the 3 point, going down, using the adjustment knob helps stop the jerkyness. Going up, not so much.

Ahhh, another good point! I was able to listen for that "odd hiss" in person when it got here. It was not from the back of the engine... sound was being deflected... it was coming from the radiator cap. Maybe the culprit? A cheap possible fix!

Yeah, it could be.... the heater core definitely is plugged. I tried flushing the system last summer, don't see too much corrosion in the radiator. But, that doesn't mean it's not clogged.... Just going to check one thing at a time, as no rush.

Daughter made it here. No overheating on the way down. As soon as she turned it off.... boiling over from the reservoir. Now that it has been driven 250 miles, I'm going to recheck the oil for milkyness. I am leaning towards cracked head..... More research and testing needed.

You could take both batteries to an auto parts store and have them test "under load"..... and it's free! They can also use a heavy duty charger which will de-sulfate it also. That's the only way to tell if a battery is bad--- needs a load
