The telescoping on my CK27 were definitely longer requiring me to buy a longer top link. When I went back to the others I had to cut the shafts shorter on my flail and tiller.

Telescoping are longer , last tractor came with them and I had to buy a longer top link. When I bought my 2610 I declined the telescoping.

If I was having difficulty getting the rod out I'd fire up the pump and use the hydraulics. You loose a little oil but it comes out easy and gently as I've had to do it a few times to get the rod out on backhoe cylinders. Never use air pressure you'll be launching a rocket.

Snug up all your heater hoses.

I found them to be a pain in the ass . Went back to turn buckles on this tractor even though dealer offered them for free.

Applying the brake and trying to go with the engine idling I'd expect it to stall.

Is the pedal not returning to neutral when you take your ft off it ?

It probably didn't appear to work well because the fins were plugged that the fan blows the cool air threw. You have to pull the head liner to get at and clean it. Right after you replace the ceased bearing.

1/2" schd.40 pvc in my shop for over 30 yrs. now 150psi comp. so far so good.

Just guessing possibly cold summer fuel until it circulates in the tank and warms the fuel up.

Using Howes I had filter jell solid at not much below zero, also had the feel rod in injector pump stick.Outfit the rebuilt my pump recommended using a different additive which I've done with no problems for the last 20 yrs.

I wouldn't count on Howes doing anything. Do some research and buy a better additive.

I put 3,000 hrs. on a CK27 usually ran it 2,000 rpm or more if roading 22 to 2600 . If there was smoke I wouldn't concerned myself .

On the last 3 compact tractors I've owned 1 or 2 of the coolant hoses weeped soon after the first cold snap. Tighen the clamps up when the engines warm and no more leaks.

When running a tractor any time you smell antifreeze or hot hydraulic oil stop and investigate immediately.

I've bypast all my safety switches but if you have no clicking at all make sure, PTO disengaged, shifter in neutral, park brake engaged and master fuse not blown.

Fuel cap vent?

Sounds more like a switch or relay problem than a pump problem. And a trickle charger like Robin mentioned so there's enough power there to turn the motor over faster.

Get it from where he bought it.

Not sure about your tractor but on my backhoe I hold it open with haywire when I use it the release it to shut off.

Try a new relay.

Over a 1,000 hrs. on my tractor with trans hydraulic in the front end with O problems so far. Replaced many seal and bearings in the past with gear oil so thought it wouldn't hurt yo give it a try. It works good in the planitary's on my backhoe and excavator so why not my tractors front end.

I fixed my own just by spraying WD40 into it and rotating the key multiple times 2 yrs. ago and it hasn't let me down since.

Check starter relay as well.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a min.

While it's in the closed position ( with the clip in )I marked a line across the housing and the cap to make it easier to line it back up for putting the cap back on and getting the clip in. I used a silver permanent marker but anything will work.

I've been going up and down hills on my property steep enough to flip the tractor over backwards without weight in the front bucket for over 30 yrs. now. 6,000 hrs on first tractor , 3,000 and 1,000 on the 2610 I now have the oil pickups are right in the bottom of the oil pan.

I put Rotella 15W40 T5 in my dump truck once the oil activated lifters hammered so bad i drained so I can't say it's good stuff just always happens to be on sale.

Where did you get the info it's breakin oil ? It's trans hydraulic and can be replaced with trans hydraulic. Some seem to think gear oil is better I prefer the trans oil .

Squirt some wd40 in the key slot and work it back a forth worked for me once, worth a try .

I haul my 2610 around on a 16', 14,000# GVW ( more that required because I haul logs on it as well) with plenty of room I think for just the tractor with loader I could get away with 14'.

Replace the grease nipple or take it out and see if grease goes threw it. Back and front nipples, important to have the axle move freely & greased so you don't where out the pin.

When I had a tractor with those I replaced them as the broke by making them out of a thick chunk of plastic or PVC . I don't know if there's a source for it handy in your area.

Front axle fill level , so you know when you've added enough oil.

I'm aware it's the blade , you must determine where it's jumping off in order to correct the problem. Just trying to help from my own experiences of throwing blades in the past 23 yrs.

If it's throwing the belt it must not be tracking properly. Slack the idler wheel right off then realign it . If it's coming off on the drive wheel make sure the tensioner is aligned correctly.

Replace the drive belt. Most likely the problem.

Make a couple short 12" ramps to drive up to get your height.

You just need one with the same pin configuration.

The main battery cable should run directly to the starter.

Spray some soapy water on the belts and see if the squealing stops.

I when through seals and bearings every 600 hrs. for a while with my first 2 tractors when over loading the front end constantly hauling and loading logs. I changed the gear oil regularly. I now use trans hydraulic in this tractor for 700 hrs. so far and know the lubrication will be much better...

If you have weight in the bucket and it's not in 4w drive your brakes will not be effective. There's no weight on the back wheels.

I'd fill it and use the sight glass just for reference that there's oil in it.

Maybe just moisture in 1 of the related circuits. If everything is fine with the brake engaged seems it would indicate it must be related.

I know nothing about that tractor but the only circuit connected to the break pedal as far as I know would be the break lights. Can you pull that fuse and see what happens ? Maybe a poor ground in the circuit ?

I wouldn't cut it off . I'm not familiar with that type, only one you can retract while still on the machine so when you let go the spring will shut the fuel off. Other wise you would have to stall the tractor to shut it off.

Hold it open and see if the machine starts. On my backhoe I've held it open with a piece of wire to use the machine until replaced.

Make sure your fuel solenoid is working.

Is it connected to a seat safety switch ?

It's not a big deal just a little shim tips the bucket a bit to make the pins sit a hair deeper. I wouldn't bother getting it done if I had to take the tractor in . They came out and did mine and I can't see where it made any improvement.

I unhook the trailer and load with the tractor. I had a regular set of forks yrs. ago but soon found that's a good way to take front seals and bearings out on small tractors by over loading. So I made of 16" detachable forks. You can see in the pick I'm carrying a log in front of my bucket as well.

Cedar 30" at the butt. Never measured the length but it was a tall tree. Got enough lumber out of it to fill an order of 6x6,2x6, 4x4's & 1x6.

Use the power then run a ground wire back to the switch and ground the switch. That will break the circuit.

Lift wheels of the ground with the bucket grab the top and bottom of wheel and see if there's any play. Also give them a spin by hand and listen and feel for any abnormality.

I think running them at to low of rpm may be harmful . I did have a pump go a no. of yrs. ago the shaft broke at 6,000 hrs. it was very cold that winter so thick fluid may have contributed.

Put it in neutral and try pulling it to see if it will release.

If it turns over fast with additional battery I'm not so sure it's the starter, but I'm only guessing.

Main fuse in harness or fuse link, or relay. You said you could smell some thing chances are some thing electrical was get hot.

Engine oil will work just fine in your hydraulic system a few backhoe owners around here used it exclusively for yrs. I would suggest anyone saying 80/90 W oil over trans hydraulic in the front axle is only expressing an opinion not a fact.

It is not filled with hydraulic fluid , It's Trans Hydraulic fluid.

Most likely frozen closed once open spray the bottom seal with silicone.

A good reason for tubes in the front tires on equipment is because they can turn very sharp and under the right conditions pop the tire off the bead.

Use a vacuum cleaner to blow the pipes out. No need for any special fittings the end of the vacuum hose will fit right on a tap.

It's very cold get the hydraulic oil good and warm by using your hydraulics slowly until they speed up . Then see if the drifting persists.

I had a 12 V heater in a cab and it required a 30 amp inline fuse wired direct from battery or hot terminal on starter , no lighter socket. The pin on the end of lighter socket plugs gets to hot.

Block heater in my bachhoe melts the snow on the hood. As of this morning I seen my circulating heater in the tractor does to.

Have the owner dig the tank up and removed . I've done a no. of them around here because their no longer allowed. The problem comes when trying to get rid of the tank. The last thing I'd do is get an environmental engineer involved.

Adjust the speed control , below the front of the seat.

If there's a male end and a female end just plug them into each other. if their both female ends I make a jumper with bullet ends.

Unplugged each one and put a jumper wire to complete the circuit. The neutral switch is a little more complicated.

No matter what gear it's in unless the pedal is pressed it's in neutral isn't it ? I by pasted the neutral, park brake and seat switch on the last 3 tractors I owned on the day I got them. They are more inconvenient than that helpful for my use.

There's power to the alternator the sec. you turn the key on , so if it doesn't charge until running the fuse is blown.

Check and see if you blown the alternator fuse that will cause a delay in the alternator showing charge.

470 hrs. on my 1 yr. old 2610 checked the park brake teeth today and the paint is hardly wore of the them. I use the brake multiple times every living on a mt. side. I can only assume from this that if your taking the teeth off your emergency break your not applying it properly.

You may want to use it just as it is for a while ,one reason they don't tip back very far is so that you don't dump the load on your hood.

As long as you don't spin the wheels you never notice any difference.

Can't answer your question but if there's tread on the tires you have let air out of them so their soft and they'll probably work as good as any tire. You can also buy studs and screw into them or chains.

Check the back of the ignition switch for any corrosion between the terminals.

I always saw from the butt end because for me the other way is backwards. Having the toe board where you saw from would be a pain .

Was the weight taken off the back wheels when filling? Once filled you want no more that 10 or 15# of air in them.

Use it without abusing it varying the speed or RPM , then go over the whole machine checking for loose bolts or anything rubbing that can cause grief from unnecessary wear eg. hydraulic hoses and wires.

Loud clicking indicates not enough juice to the starter. Possibly the starter relay except with my experience if it's the relay there's no clicking. Poor connection some place is possible as well . A ground ?

In 31 yrs. of owning a 4wd tractor logging thousands of hrs. I doubt if I've ever had them out of 4wd more them 10 or 15 mins. altogether and that's when I drove on blacktop a short distance a couple times. No point in owning a 4wd if your scared to use it .

Robin , I've not had my tractors out of 4wd except for 2 or 3 times they drove on pavement. Driving on steep hills in 2 wheel drive is foolish and dangerous. I put 6,000 hrs. on my first tractor 3,000 on the sec. and 700 on my present one. Nothing has ever failed because of it.

I never use the clutch just press on the brake so the tractor doesn't move and if it doesn't shift turn the steering wheel back and forth a bit and it that doesn't work move the tractor a few inches. I wouldn't consider running my tractor without LOADED back tires. 1st tractor 20+ yrs. with sodium chloride never a problem . Bought a new tractor nothing in tires used it for for 1 wk. to dangerous. Found where I could get the tires loaded with beat juice and had them filled . Safer on hill...

Check that it's getting fuel, no smoke when turning over may be an indication. Does relay for fuel solenoid Click when you turn the key on?

Check and wash around battery.

I did that with a loader fitting and was able to fix it by buying a new fitting with pipe thread ( instead of metric ) put some Teflon in it which worked with no leaks for a few yrs. until I traded in the tractor.

Replace the 0 ring in it.

Not often I get to see baby bears here plenty of 2 yr. old's and older.

I put T's on the end of the over flow pipes and take the water 4 or 5" below the surface that way it doesn't get plugged with anything floating on the surface. Never glued one and never had any come off, you can't even pull them off.

You don't need to glue it just stick it on.

Connect them or like posted the pump will be damaged.

Unless you changed the transmission oil the 3 point shouldn't have been effected.

After cutting the tie melt the end with a match or lighter and it will be perfectly smooth.

Sounds like the fuel rod in the injector pump may be stuck . I'm just repeating my experience there may be other factors involved.

I wasn't able to roll this 18' log without the help of a come-along. Filling an order for 2x10 & 2x8 longer than I preferer to saw.

I try and carry them or trailer them ,if they end up getting gravel or mud I bark them . This is a good way to destroy the front bearings and seals so I don't carry large ones far any more.

I've only ever bought double braid . Only single braid I've seen was on a Bhoe I bought where they had replace the stabilizer hose with it and it blew with no visible cracks or wear.

The pedal stuck down on my CK27 a few yrs. ago on a very steep hill in 1st gear with the engine wide open and I flipped over backwards . Under those conditions the trans pressure didn't let go when I kicked the pedal to get it out of gear.

Check the linkage for wear and you can take the cylinder apart and clean it up & lube it. You may also be able to step up the tension on the spring in the cylinder. I got the specs to work on my last Kioti on line.

A wireless remote is very handy . I don't have to go back and forth to the tractor to reset the choker to put a roll on the log .

I've skidded hundreds of trees with my home made outfit and only a 4000 # 12V winch not real fast but adequate . I think you'd be happy to have a fairlead for the cable , depending on your terrain . Can't find a good pick of mine but you can see the fairlead as I'm skidding trees from above...

Log length should be okay Dodgeman but I'd for sure raise them off the ground. I've bucked up a few cords and just left them in a pile for a yr. On dry ground before splitting. Logs for the mill often sit a yr. or to , I have them piled a ft or so off the ground.

Not so sure a filter will help much about old gas. Sta-bil or seafoam or ? are the only thing I've found helps. It's the residue ethanol gas createds when it sits to long that plugs the tiny ports.

I had a generator sit a yr. with ethanol gas in it and it would only run with the choke on . I used carb cleaner, sea foam took it off and clean it all twice with no luck. Finally I took it off and used a very fine wire to poke threw every small hole in the carb that did the trick. Runs like a...

Took this pick a few wks. ago fairly steep climb with loaded turf tires but no counter weight. When it's wet gumbo clay you keep the tractor in the garage.

I've been using trans oil in the front axle for six yrs. now since the dealer told me it was fine. Since using it I've never had to replace a front seal or bearing which I had been doing every few yrs. when using gear oil. For one thing you'll certainly get better lubrication in the winter time .

I made this one as well as one for my last 2 tractors , but would have bought one if there was one that would fit for less than $100.

The flex tubing is sold in most auto parts stores.

Living on a mt. side and needing to use the break every time I stopped I came up with this idea. It worked perfectly for 6 yrs. on my CK27 and now I've done the same mod on my 2610 Kioti .

This is how I eliminated breathing exhaust and having it blow up dust in my face. The piece of trim above the step I installed to keep the floor mat in place because I kept hooking it & pulling it up with my toe.

Joeyd looks very good but my concern would be that in dry conditions it will be blowing dust up which gets in your eyes was my experience so I rerouted it from the motor out the back on my last 2 small tractors.

Turning logs into lumber is certainly satisfying :)

It may not hurt to add Stanadyne or Power service or ? to the fuel for lubricity if you choose to use it. kerosene is quite dry and your injection pump may thank you for it.
