I ran a 5' bush hog with my 76 year old 9N (for 20 years) Also a 6' finish mower. Now use my Ford 1510 23hp diesel 4x4.

Growing up 1 7/8 was the standard, 2 was unheard of. By the time I got old enough to tow things, both were in use but 2 came to be standard. Never saw a 2 5/16 until a few years ago & still don't have anything that uses that size ball.

I've been towing for 60 years & never needed anything larger then 2" 1 7/8 worked for many a year.

IF there is a difference in the thickness of the blades, I would go with the thicker one. I have had really good service from both of my Woods 6' finish mowers. One of them probably older then you are. Parts..no problem.

Never had an 80" TV but every pickup owner I know has hauled MUCH more then that.

My wife has become one of them.

I have found that angle iron bolted in place of the cutting edge works good on gravel drive & grass paths I have to do.

Aside from the warranty issue point out to the wife that the tires are getting OLD and even though they still have lots of tread & hold air, they will need to be replaced. That will not be covered by any warranty so you NEED a NEW tractor.

Lesson learned a long time ago.....

Where did you get that string of letters? The serial number for the TRACTOR is : L Series: On left-hand side of front axle or under the seat.

We still haven't heard back from the OP what year the serial number of the TRACTOR indicated it was.

The ENGINE serial number has NOTHING to do with the date of manufacture of the tractor. Check the TRACTOR serial number to get the date of manufacture.

Do you people even read his posts? He plainly stated this generator is P.T.O. powered & he wants it to REMAIN hooked up to the tractor PTO. How many of you have PTO access from the front of your tractors or the FEL's ????

The serial number for the TRACTOR is : L Series: On left-hand side of front axle or under the seat. Read that and report back with the year THAT represents.

Sounds like you came up with a good workable solution. Others that sounded good were , forks on the 3pt pick up gen. trailer all hooked up or mount gen on a 3 pt platform rather then the trailer. Enjoy your power when others are out.

I tried the pipe thing and found that PVC doesn't work for me. Light gage pipe is just as bad. Ended up taking the cutting edge off my plow & replacing it with angle iron. Bolted through the holes for the cutting edge. Works like a charm. Length of angle iron on the tines of the york rake...

Very few things over a public highway are 10' or less clearance. I somehow find it hard to believe that guy was headed to the Mickie D's drive through.

The home owner wood splitters I see aren't rated for highway use. Hitch is designed to be pulled by a lawn tractor.

The tractor will handle the job just fine. No damage or long term problems. Worry about being struck by lightning out in that open field more then the tractor.

Well... I made a leg. Found out Mahindra support isn't very good. Dealer doesn't have any info on the loader or mid mount mower. Found an owners manual on line for the tractor & it is poor to say the least. Anyone with manuals, I sure could use the part numbers.

Just acquired a 2018 1526 with loader & Mid Mount Mower. No manuals or paperwork on any of it. Leg for loader is missing, need measurements so I can make one. ANY info on the 72" mower would help.

It is a proven fact that almost 100% of the people that died in the last 50 years either smoked or were exposed to second hand smoke at some point in their lives. Also they all drank water. Can't tell which contributed to their death.

Yup... I've only plowed once this season also. Only really did that to see how the new plow set up was going to work. Still have the plow on one truck & one tractor. Tire chains still ion other truck & tractor. March snow storms aren't unusual here in Michigan.

Thank you, I thought it was MY fault for getting plows on the Suburban & both tractors. The F250 & Silverado are set up & ready if something happens to the Suburban. Along with getting the barn full of firewood.

Hummm... 76 & chains on the front of the Ford 1510. (Just a hair bigger then riding lawn mower tires) Chains on the rear of the 2N. Left them on from last year. Chains on front & rear of the F250 plow truck. THAT was a pain...

And remember to air up when you attach weight for ballest or a plow or whatever. Then air down again when you pick something up with the FEL. Correct air pressure is DIRECTLY linked to the weight supported on THAT tire.

Yup... that could happen depending on where & how you chain it. I was thinking of a heavier strap then you seem to be. They hold heavy equipment on semi's and I was just using it to close the split so it could be chained tighter. Being aware of what COULD happen makes you think harder about...

Angle of attack may make a difference. Keep the plow frame as level as possible.

At the beginning of the season, before the ground is frozen, I pull the cutting edge off & put the angle iron on using the same holes & bolts. Once it freezes, back to bare cutting edge.

The flat bottom of the angle iron prevents the blade from digging in and seems to do better at moving the snow. BTW... not an original idea, I got it from here years ago.

I tried pipe & found that a 3x3 piece of angle iron bolts to the plow cutting edge or in place of the cutting edge & works BETTER then pipe. I can plow my 1/4 mile gravel drive & even paths over my pasture with NO damage . Used bed frame rails on the smaller atv plow and it worked too. 731716

I figure if I can pick it up with one hand from the end, it's the right size. I can't pick it up.... it gets split again. (With some exceptions)

The Litheli batteries look the same but the connections are reversed. + - switched.

Keep in mind, I bought the Lynxx chainsaw and they have dropped it. Now I can't even buy another battery for it. NOTHING else fits it. After the 4th charge today, it made 2 cuts before it quit on me. Don't expect it to last much longer.

Mine is also for a mower deck but it sure looks like it fits. Other pto clutches by this manufacturer are listed as 1/2" / 5/8" so I am hoping this is the same pulley. We'll see this weekend maybe.

I found angle iron works better for me & is easier to attach. I can plow paths across my lawn without tearing up anything. Leaves the gravel in my drive.

Not that I notice. It lives outside and seems to need more care & adjustments than it used to but, it still takes care of the leftovers from firewood & pasture trimming.

Pushing the clutch in disengages the PTO/3PT.

The PTO on a 2N MUST be engaged to operate the 3 point arms. The clutch MUST be engaged for the PTO/3PT to work. When "in gear", you may raise the 3pt ONLY while in motion.

I found that 2 link ladder chains for a garden tractor (MUCH cheaper) work just fine for me on the front. I have a half mile private road, 1/4 mile drive & 2 neighbors drives I do with hills. Real tractor 4 link chains on the back made the ride too ruff and were taken off that same day. Don't...

A little late but..... To some of us, 4" is questionable to plow or not. The rain will beat that 4" down to 2" with a crust. Again questionable whether to plow or not. In your case with the incline, I would plow AFTER the weather stops. Plow blade angled. Take as little or as much as you can...
