My dog does the same. I ride my motorcycles for fun, so don't worry about getting good gas mileage. They chew through tires/chains/sprockets etc, so much cheaper to take the MYP to run errands. So much fun to punch the throttle on that thing.

Some EV's can accelerate like a sport bike, so you have to drive them like one. Perhaps doubly so because no one can hear you approaching.

I bought a Road Boss C8 at the end of last year to redo 2 miles of road on my property. It works very well, but I think I need to get my act together and order a top and tilt kit from you to make it even better.

As others have said, heated bibs are nice, get a couple of batteries. Also merino wool base layers are great. A nice hot, high cal. meal before venturing out helps keep the internal furnace stoked. Keep your feet dry. Change your socks as soon as they get wet (even if wool) really helps.

I did try that, but my blade has a bunch of re-reinforcements and a pivot bearing box on the rear, so it just collects snow, even though I have the blade at an angle.

That does look like an interesting solution. My blade did come with a gauge wheel, but I took it off. It's only one wheel and it's not directly behind the blade like you have, but maybe I should try it in the snow? Trouble is I only have two rear remotes and would need to install a diverter.

I did try swinging the bade around 180 deg. That did work well for scraping off the snow, but the back of my blade is not smooth and it just collected a huge pile of snow.

Our daytime high temps average above freezing and we also get a lot of sun. So the snow never really gets a chance to form a base over the duration of winter. Instead we get a cold spell where it snows and then it slowly melts over the next 3-4 weeks.

We had our first big dump of the season. About 12" over 24 hours and I plowed twice. The tractor with rear chains did great, though it wasn't very icy. No issues on the steep hill. But I don't think the ground around here freezes enough to float the rear blade. Even with my oversized skid...

Thanks guys! I got a Cat 3 to Cat 2 bushing from my local dealer, but it was too long so I had to cut it in half. Also changed the lower link pins so they no longer float and I adjusted the top link. Everything looks good now and no rotation when raising/lowering.

Power loss due to elevation is about 3% for every 1,000ft ASL. So at 1,300ft you're looking at more like an 18% difference between the two tractors. At least that's what the science says.

I've noticed that the trend seems to be a single wheel for 3-point attached blades and two wheels for the tow behind blades. I guess that's a given though as a tow behind would just fall over with a single wheel with the blade raised. :D

We get our power from a CO-OP that gets it's power from Xcel. There is no adjustment that is related to usage, just a "power cost adjustment that reflects the monthly fluctuation in the cost of wholesale power purchased from Xcel. That can either be a surcharge or a credit."

Yes, 5c per kwh is off peak as I stated in my original comment. Between 11pm and 7am that is the price, so we just programed the car to charge between those hours. Any recurrent monthly fees associated with having our electric account are the same as before we had the tesla.
