The Polaris 1500 is an all-new unit...new, and unproven 3 cylinder engine and a new, unproven transmission they named "Steeldrive". Only time will tell if they will hold up in the long run. Me, I wouldn't want to be a Beta tester on something where the starting price is ~ $30,000. If, in 5...

A side by side has one big advantage over a Jeep or pickup or other vehicle of that type....no hood to see over! As far as I know, this "freewheeling" feature is only on Polaris side by sides. Both of the Polaris units in our SAR unit are this way. And I detest it...as you say - totally counter-intuitive to step on the gas to make the clutch engage for engine braking! Every other brand of side by side...

No need to add a brake line lock on a Can-am Defender. Standard feature - push down hard on the brakes, pull up on the lock and the machine ain't going anywhere. What is your experience with Stabil?

Wow! That is one beautiful 1066! Restored, or just well cared for?

    Milwaukee 18V impact gun?

I've been using that model Milwaukee for several months now. It is very heavy, especially if you stick a 6 AH or bigger battery on it. Heavier than my 1/2" IR air impact I've had for years - and also more powerful. It has 4 power levels it can be set at; the most powerful will bust off lugs...

    LockNLube Easy-Prime Lever Grease Gun?

I've had a LocknLube Easy-Prime Grease gun for over a year now and had no problems with it. Works as advertised and does not leak grease out the bottom no matter what position I store it in or use it in. It ships with 6 (if I remember correctly) plastic followers that go into the open end of...

We're gonna need a bigger tractor....

Find yourself an old John Deere 2020 diesel, fix what on it needs fixing, and you'll have a tractor that will be trouble free the rest of your life with all the horsepower you'll ever need. Much cheaper and lower maintenance than a new tractor.
