Have a 3033r for five years. No issues and engine runs fine.

I prefer the “wander” method. Always find other goodies to buy.

When they were away from the house I could live with it. But last night three were caught on camera checking out the house perimeter. What’s the best way (other than shooting) to get rid of them permanently? I’m not against shooting, just would prefer to poison them or something. Thanks.

Just changed the battery on my Deere 3033. Battery terminal cables removed with 1/2” Bolts holding the battery down … 13 mm Really??? Glad I had both sets of wrenches.

Over the years I’ve learned you have to update routers. Tech changes so quickly. I have Verizon LTE for over a year. Works nicely in a rural area.

I have both gas and battery Stihl. Both work well but battery for more minor cutting.

We have several downspouts around the barn. Once it gets ground level it’s attached to a three inch plastic pipe to control where it drains. What’s the best way to dig/trench to bury the pipe. Longest run will be around 40 feet. Thanks.

For true nasty weed like thistles and mares tail I use 2,4,D or Crossbow. Mix with water, spray and the weed dies in a week.

Update. This seems to be working. Saw two swallows fly under the roof yesterday, flopped around the corners a bit then flew off. Plenty of other areas to nest. Just want them away from our entrances.

When I bought my Deere 3033R the dealer suggested a 3 in 1 bucket. Looks and works like a regular bucket but also opens hydraulically to allow me to clamp down and lift things. Great suggesting and once I put it on I've never used the old standard bucket.

My 13 yr old lab has never once brought up politics.

I bought a ballast box from Deere. Stupid price but I’m a Deere stock holder so think somehow I’m breaking even? Yes, ballast box is a good investment. Fill it with crap and run around the property. Good decision.

I probably took me around 50 hours of use before I found myself really comfortable with my first tractor. All sorts of uses. All sorts of jobs. Best purchase I made for the property.

Guess it depends on what you need it for. My IT person recommended the Office 365 because of the auto updates. With all the cyber crime going on, can’t risk having old versions or outdated programs. Again … to each their own.

Have a Deere tractor and Zero mower. Annually I run them each about 50 hours. I Change Oil and filters every September when weather still nice. I enjoy working in the barn with the music cranked! Then celebrate with a beer and cigar.

I've been using it in rural OHio for over a year. Not going to say it's fast ( prob 20-30) but it is reliable. The prior provider was line of sight and it dropped every day. With Verizon we can stream shows and I use it for Zoom without issue, Our area isn't 5G yet

Have a Deere 3033R that I occasionally need to drive 3 miles away to cut a field. I actually enjoy the feeling of driving a tractor on country roads. Turn on the A/C, crank up the Sirius radio and away I go.

You guys got me thinking. How about stainless bird spikes? The kind you use in a barn. If flexible, wrap near the top of the pipe and secure with clamps. even stuff some of that steel wool in between the spikes.

I check it often and so far no issue. seems they like to come up the tires. Put the big sticky pads down today at each wheel and hopefully that helps.

Sticky pads work for me but the tractor is in a barn with lots of stick pads around the doors. I have a couple of the pads inside the cab and they are effective. Never thought of putting them around the front tires. Will add that to the list.

Was out driving the tractor and ran into the following situation. Transmission was in C. When 2 wheel drive, it was fine. But when I shifted to 4 wheel drive and pushed the accelerated pedal, it early stalls out. I only have4 hours on it, any thoughts? Thanks.
