    Coolant Leak on JD2150

I have a coolant leak on my 1983 JD2150 which I haven't been able to detect where it's leaking. Everything in front of the radiator is wet, some damp, some dripping, but there's enough dust caked on things that I can't see the source of the leak. The tractor runs fine until a heavy PTO load is...

    Pricing pallet forks

I bought my Titan 42" forks right before the pandemic, have used them hard, and have no complaints. I maxed out the loader trying to lift the concrete steps in the picture... they were 40" wide by an average of 8" thick, and even broken into two step sections (about 7' long) the tractor...

    JD 2150 Battery Issues

The local dealer said this is what they would sell. I drove 45 minutes yesterday to the dealer, because they said there were two of them in stock, but after an hour of looking through their warehouse, they couldn't find them. :/ But for $153 each, that's a tough price to beat...

    JD 2150 Battery Issues

My JD 2150 diesel started having trouble starting last year, but after adding a trickle charger, I haven't had any issues, and could reliably shut the tractor off and restart multiple times without issue. A few weeks ago, while brushhogging, I started noticing some sluggishness when starting -...

    JD2150 Rear Remote Speed

Just hooked my new grapple for the first time, and am wondering if the rear remote which is powering the grapple lids is always slower than the rest of the hydraulic functions on the tractor. The FEL and the draft arms on the 3-point are very responsive, but the remote seems really laggy...

    Repurposed Single-Row Cultivator

I welded (well, had a guy at church weld, anyway) a 6' 2x2 bar to the rear of my cultivator, removed four tines, then added a couple of s-tined sweeps and disc hiller blades to make a garden bedder. A couple of rattle-cans later, she's looking garden ready!

Rock Bucket Insert for Root Grapple

Has anyone made a removable insert to turn a wide-spaced tine root grapple into a rudimentary narrow-spaced tine rock bucket when needed? This is sort of what's floating around in my mind... two tines of flat barstock (or round rod to shed dirt) between each main tine on the grapple, making the...

    Artillian Iron Fist Grapple

This is apparently a brand-new grapple option from Artillian. A lot of moving parts, I realize, meaning more things to maintain - or break. But still, it actually works a lot like one I was independently trying to design as a thumb grapple for my pallet forks. Iron Fist Sectional Grapple -...

    HP Requirements for Field Cultivator?

I would say it's that wide... here is the pic from the rear. I agree that it's light duty, and - for what I will use it for - it probably will work just fine. It's not heavy enough to sink too low, and I can set the depth with my three point anyway. I mainly am wanting something to keep the soil...

    HP Requirements for Field Cultivator?

I'm wanting to use it after running over things with a disk. I'm in the market for either a plow/disc/harrow combo for soil prep (I live in the Ozark foothills with lots of rock), or springing for a 6' tiller. I much prefer the tiller option, as I have broken lot of ground with a borrowed...

When I said the weakest component earlier, I was not saying it had to be 50% of the entire load, rather the sum total of the weakest component in each of the tiedowns added together had to make up 50% of the load. DOT regs say one chain "can" be used, but only if it functions as two separate chains. In other words, you could use each end of the chain to an attachment point on the equipment, then a separate binder on each side, and so long as there is slack chain in between, they function as separate...
