    RTV 1140 Rear drive issue

2009 RTV 1140 w/400+ hours. No power getting to rear wheels in 2WD or 4WD. When in 4WD power gets to front wheels only. I'm guessing a hydraulic valve problem of some kind. Hoping to figure it out myself. Thanks in advance for any help! Terry

A reminder to be careful & respect what a chain can do!

We have 3 Stihl saws and my older sons are very skilled with them. My 18 y.o. probably has well over 100 hours cutting experience and has been cutting wood for 4 years or so. He has always used chaps, gloves, ear, eye and head protection. He wears leather boots as well. Last week, in one of...

Buying Advice  adding rear remotes - need advice

I plan to add 3 rear remotes. In order to make the most of a top-n-tilt setup, I plan to have one float and one regular. My question pertains to the 3rd valve and which type to get. The dealer says the float type makes it a little more difficult to move implements in small increments because the...

KFI winch mount for Kubota 1140?

I am planning to mount a Superwinch Terra 45 to the front of my RTV 1140 CPX. I see the KFI mounting system available online for less than $50. As I recall the Kubota dealer wanted much more for a winch mount when I purchased the rig in Dec 2009. Has anyone here used the KFI mount? Any knowledge...

    power steering hydraulic hose replacement

I am replacing hydraulic hose on my L5030HST. I had a local hydraulic shop build the replacement and am ready to install. My question is whether to be concerned about the air in the line. Do I bleed it off somehow, or just make sure the fluid levels are good and start using. Thanks for you...

    New L5030HSTC or L4630GSTC tomorrow!!

It looks like I finally have to make a decision! I am supposed to be at the dealership (35 miles from my home) tomorrow morning to sign papers on one of these tractors. I was set on the 5030 HST and had not even thought about trying a GST model - never driven one before. Wow, I was impressed...

light or med cutter for mostly grass?

I will soon be purchasing a larger tractor (32-45 pto hp) and a few implements. I am planning to use a rotary cutter for clearing part of my 25 acres, but also plan to use it long term as a "finish" mower for about 8 acres. Very little of the brush, etc. that I need to clear is over 1 in dia...

need info from owners of 3830, 4330, 4630, or 5030

Good evening, I posted this last night under a different subject title. Maybe it didn't catch your attention. Any information would be greatly appreciated! As part of my ongoing research for which of these tractors to purchase, I just realized Kubota probably prints in each manual a...

    Rotary cutter size for 3830, 4330, 4630 or 5030?

Greetings, As part of my ongoing research for which of these tractors to purchase, I just realized Kubota probably prints in each manual a recommended maximum size for each implement. I am particularly interested in the rotary cutter recommendations. I need a med duty cutter, at least 6 ft...

    "finish" mowing with rotary cutter

\"finish\" mowing with rotary cutter I have discovered that my "yard", which consists of about 9 acres, looks pretty good when I cut it with the rotary cutter. This is an area that wasn't cut routinely by the previous owner, but I would like for it to look nicer. I do mow a 1 acre area close...

post hole digger in rocky ground

I am in the process of purchasing a larger tractor and part of my future fun list includes post holes. The ground here in the Missouri Ozarks is often mostly rock. My BX22 backhoe will break through it and dig, but what a chore compared to the ground we had in southern Arkansas where I lived...

    LP rake vs Harley rake

The Land Pride PR16 series powered rakes (information found here ) appears to be the same rake as the Harley rake (information found here ). Are these two manufactured by the same company - in essence the same rake marketed as two different brands? If not, anyone have experience with both to...

comparison L3830 vs L4630, fuel use question

I have narrowed my choices (unless I change my mind ) for a larger tractor to the L3830 or the L4630. I can easily get by with the 3830 for the immediate future, but may go for the 4630 to hedge against future needs for larger capacity loader or larger capacity implements. Most of my use will...

    turning light quirkiness BX22

With the switch in the off position, one of my turn signal lights blinks while the other stays lit. Is this a wiring problem or some built in system to warn me of bulb malfunction? Anyone else had this happen? I haven't had time to check it out. Loose wire maybe? Switch problem? THANKS, Terry

    no quote available from Carver

I requested a quote from Carver's on a B7800/loader/mower combo and here is the response I received. I am sure they are a great dealership, but save your time filling out the quote forms on their web site. It might be wise to call them first and see if quotes are available. I was also...

    HST pedal/Upgrade musings

Do any of the Kubota B series tractors have the single HST pedal for forward/reverse like the BX has? I know the L series has it. If the others (7500, 2410, 2710, 2910, 7800 - did I miss any? ) do not have this, I assume there are two separate pedals. If so, is the arrangement of the pedals...

    BX7500 vs BX22 - for educational purposes & fun!

I am interested in comparisons between the BX22 and B7500. I have no desire for a war of which is best. As we all know, what works for each of us and what we are satisfied with is what counts. I own the BX22, but I am not partial in the sense that I have not used a B7500. Even if I had, it...
