Good catch. I noticed that too. I checked my 5303 to see if it was the same and it was. I put the 5205 on the same way/direction.

I like the telescoping ends. My 5303 has fixed ends. I bought the Pat’s set up for it and wound up taking them off. Was nice for connecting to the implements, but I wound up having my rotary cutter come off several times on one side and couldn’t determine why to stop it from happening.

When was in shop last they cleaned the radiator and installed new cap. Water pump not very old. When had the radiator off to check thermostat was able to look it over good. Appeared to still be very clean.

I have checked all I can find to check and stopped just short of replacing gauge cluster. I average 100-125 hours annually. Hours not advancing is not a huge issue, but do like to have all functions working. May try replacing cluster at some point.

Your response to #2 has got me thinking. The dust generated right in front of you with the skid steer may be quite a bit. With this not being intended to be a “for hire” situation it may very well be a better option to just rent a cabbed skid steer every few years or give the Lane Shark a try.

Yes. I run tail wheel on the ground carrying the weight of the mower and adjust the height with three point hitch. Occasionally will have need to carry cutter completely off the ground while still mowing, but not very often.

Where would the ground connection be that needs to be checked? Spoke to local dealer shop this afternoon and they too recommended making sure had no fuses blown and good ground. If both of those check out then most likely is bad sensor. Believe he said they were around $40.

After few hours of use light started coming on again. Wound up taking back to repair shop. They determined new regulator failed. Replaced under warranty and back going again. Time will tell if this one lasts.

VERY good summation! This is actually my dads tractor and I have been trying to help him with it. I understand he put it on a trailer and is taking it to a different starter/alternator shop to be tested this morning. My synopsis is the generator is failing.

Thank you for clearing that up and the link. Will read the link soon. As an update, the charge light seems to now be staying on versus being intermittent before. Volt meter readings verify that with light on no charging taking place. Will have to decide which route to go to correct issue.

Generator removed and tested today. Tested good. Regulator replaced and getting same results. Talking with a guy that works on equipment for a living to see if he can take a look at it. Appreciate all the feedback.

Modification made to washers with grinder. Is the consensus this should solve the issue of the lift arm sliding off the lift pin? Only other thing I can think of right off would be using a bolt with locknut.

Here is picture I found of how I was installing the pin and washer. The nail on the pin would not fully close. Seems like it is hitting the bent part of the washer first. Is it recommended to grind away some of the bent part to allow the bail to completely close.
