I guess I can't say if it has a float option on the rear remotes. All I've ever used it for is to adjust the angle on back blade when plowing snow. The lever floats in the center position but I don't think that's what you mean.

I picked up a Chinese sickle bar mower that has a single action hydraulic cylinder, power up/gravity down. My Kubota tractor has a single set of rear remotes on a dual action control. I don't understand hydraulics nearly well enough, but I'm guessing this is a problem in terms of using this...

You're most likely correct, the knob I always thought was for draft control is near the floor below the seat. The lever next to the 3 point lever is cruise control. I'll need to look at the back end and I'm guessing I do not have any draft control function. Still need to figure out how to keep...

You could be right, I'll have to look in my manual, but I thought that was the draft control knob :unsure:. However it still does not lock in the raised position (for long anyway), therein lies my problem.... thanks!

After I posted and read up more on draft control I realized that maintaining implement height doesn't appear to be it's purpose. I should have stated that I did try using the 3 point hitch lift to accomplish this but the lever vibrates and eventually lets the implement drift down. The locking...

This is the first time I've heard that the skids should not touch the ground, though I often raise my flail mower in order to get a higher cut. My problem with that is the mower drifts down in pretty short order. I have the draft control set to not allow that but the hydraulics pay it no mind...
