Most cheap forklifts are for flat paved dry surface only. Most have old school Japanese engines that last forever as they never see high revs and run very clean on propane.

The T25 and T394 have been in TYM line up for a while and have Yanmar engines, the T754 most likely retains the Deutz engine, as I don't think Yanmar makes 74hp engine? I think engines are made by Yanmar and shipped to TYM assembly plant, don't think TYM makes the Yanmar engines.

I would think not much. Yanmar must have lots of faith in the TYM models though, they are covered by the same 10 year power train warranty.

TYM is a power house. They now make their own engines since buying Branson, and they make all rural king tractors, made all Cabela's tractors, all bad boy, some Mahindra, some yanmar, zetor, and maybe others.

I bought same machine for $16,800 in 2011 brand new. It's worth every penny. Zero issues for almost 14 years.

My 2011 L3700SU has just under 300, but those mechanical hour meters run super slow if you don't run the tractor wide open. I would estimate real hours are at least 2 times that. I bought that tractor new for $16,800. I'm sure it's still worth at least that. Zero issues too.

5460/6060 is my dream tractor, but ended up buying similarly spec-ed TYM for half the money. If you can swing the money for Kubota, go for it, my first tractor was Kubota and it never gave me any problems.

Second half of year is usually cheaper. And last quarter is usually cheapest.

Don't forget 2515 and 3515 power train is identical, you just need to turn up the fuel.

My 4820 is running an 8 foot box blade, if you live at high altitude, get the turbo version of 4820. I prefer hydrostat too.

5835 is a beast, definitely larger and heavier than 494/574.

2 rear remotes come standard on 4820/5520 cab models. Optional on open station. 4820/5520 is beefiest/heaviest tractor in it's class.

I've seen reports of front axle issues on 494/574. I'd suggest you get 4820/5520 instead.

Not even close. Price you stated is for shuttle, open station model (4820R) my tractor is cab with hydro (4820CH), that would be several thousand more.

Surprised you didn't look at 4820, which is what I ended up getting after going for T494. Same engine as T494, same size, lots of standard features. I ended up paying $29,500 for brand new, cab, hydro, loader machine.

OK, it looks like the Indonesian Masseys are still made by Iseki, so thats good news. Also seeing 0% financing currently for the E series. If you like the Massey dealer best, its a no brainer.

On a Kukje engine you can. Its mechanical (no computers).

Local tractor shop has used Cummins heads and parts on Kukje motors and have told me all Cummins parts bolted right on without any modifications.

Massey makes some amazing tractors, I put them on the same level as JD and Kubota, as far as SCUTS go.

In my opinion Massey is clearly better choice vs Bobcat. If you have TYM dealer near, check them out, TYM cab prices are very, very competitive.

Greasing my 4820ch for first time. My tie rods have no zerks??? Also couldn't find the 2 zerks that are on the inside of the rear tires. All zerks on tractor were fairly tight, all zerks on loader were loose!

I can do it on my 4820, but was a lot easier on my Kubota. Loader is a lot faster and overall functions better on my old Kubota.

$15k + 2-3k for freight + 10k for loader and tires/wheels = about $27k for a questionable machine with no warranty. Considering I can buy all day long in my area L2501 with loader with 100hours for $18k. No thanks.

When do you replace the smaller hydraulic filter? I know the oil and hydro-static filter get replaced at 50 hours, but I can't find any info on the smaller filter. In my case the filter in questions is TA00043153C.

This is known issue on 494/574. Take it to dealer before your wheel falls off. Quite of few reports of this on the internet, main reason I got 4820 instead of the 494.

474 is a winner, 494/574 have some issues, the old Branson models (4820/5520) are proven and generally built heavier.

Nobody comes close to what TYM offers, when it comes to cab tractors. You can get a lot of cab tractor for under $30K. I just got this 48hp, 2,700lbs loader lift for $29,500.

This is an awesome tractor, how many hours on the clock? Sounds like you have fuel issue. Check for debris in tank, add anti-bacteria/algae additive to fresh fuel, replace filter, blow all lines and once you put everything together don't forget to bleed the system!!!

Those TYM/Branson buckets seem kind of light duty. Brand new bucket is already drilled for cutting edge from factory. Is bolt on cutting edge a must have on these?

Good choice! There is a reason 90% of these tractors sell with R4s. R4s are toughest tire out there, with my use, they usually last 15 years.

Yes, 10k GVW trailer, minimum. Trailer will probably weight 3k, 4820 cab weights 7k with loader and ballast. My trailer is steel tilt deck. Never need to deal with ramps or rotted boards.

Yes, turbo is a maintenance item, AND if you have a turbo tractor, you have to idle it for 2 minutes before shut off, to let the turbo cool.

These are identical machines, except 5520 has turbo to make few extra HP. Turbo is helpful at high altitude or if you are using the PTO a lot. I am in Indiana and I rarely use the PTO, so I got the 4820.

This is how far apart they were originally. Had to literally lift my foot and move it every time I needed to change direction.

Modified my HST pedals today, they were too far apart, so I cut the bottom plate on the forward pedal and drilled new hole, and twisted the reverse pedal. Decided not to mess with spring as that can cause not returning to neutral issues.

I remove snow from tight drives, (storage unit complex and car dealership) so I can't push it, I have to lift it off and remove it, or else I will block off the drives. I have a 96" light material bucket that works great for that. I would guess weight of bucket + snow is 1,400-1,800 pounds...

I've done snow removal all my life with R4s, they work good for that, plus machine will be over 7,000lbs with the pusher. Should work OK.

Some dealers are still trying to get covid prices, others have realized economy is in recession. I know dealers pay less than $30k for T494 Cab with Hydro, so at $32,000 they are making a bit less than $3k. Most dealers are shooting for 10%.
