    FEL backhoe vs. Stump Bucket

All the loaders on tractors are weak and fragile. I won't be trying stumps with mine. I just get a bigger machine for removing stumps, last time I didn't even cut the trees down before just scooped up the trees with stump and roots. Then smoothed out the ground. But real loaders are different...

    3515CH HVAC

    1. Depending on outside temperature and air flow those pressures could be good to a little high. 2. The condenser and receiver drier are combined to one unit for the 20 series. A vertical tube on the condenser looks much larger than usual. Probably the same for the 15 series. And the manual...

First post is what I did. 917 7 foot
  6. 4

This is probably a stupid question, but...... how do you unload a heavy implement from the truck? I do not have a front end loader.

Boom pole on the 3 point, gantry crane, Cherry picker/engine hoist, tree branch and chain hoist, dirt berm, ramps, ditch, friends, Mexicans from the Home Depot parking lot, borrow or rent a tractor with a loader, your options are mostly limited by your mindset.

Land Pride Flail mower duckfoot blade replacement question

I think it's saying not to put a worn one with a new one. But if you are replacing with all new you should be good. If you are putting used ones on you will need to weigh them into pairs.

    Hydraulic Hose Crimp Tool

Hose and ends have a crimp spec. Parker crimpers normally are built to bottom out at spec. But many others use the micrometer style adjustment. The cheap ones don't have a stop or different dies for different diameters. Custom crimp would be my choice for a crimper, if I was in the market...

    Towing Tractor

Tieing down on a full trailer won't be much different, loading on a full trailer won't be much harder, full trailer will pull at full speed, full trailer has cheaper tires, full trailer won't ruin the tractor transmission, but full trailer takes up more storage room. Based on pros and cons I'll...

20x20 Carport Installation on 2x2x6 Concrete Blocks

World block makes the forms for those blocks. They're about 3,500-3,800lb each. Drill and set anchors as if you are bolting it to a slab. Before setting the blocks in place prep the ground so they don't settle. They are heavy enough to tear up stuff if they settle. I didn't mount a carport to...

Help Choosing a Tractor: Mahindra 1126 vs. 2126 on Hilly 5-Acres

I'd prefer to buy a tractor that is made by the company selling it. If the two companies have a falling out parts availability suffers. Also deere won't sell yellow parts from a green dealer and vise versa, Kubota won't sell parts for a tractor they say shouldn't be in America.

    Replacing loader hydraulic hose

    Delivery pipe

Also, if you replace metal pipe with hydraulic hose you will have an increase in hydraulic temperature. The pipes preform some cooling effect, some manufacturers rely on this.

Add float to a loader that doesn't have it?

Unless it's more than 30 something years old it's probably a loader valve. 1 stick to run lift and curl. But replacing the valve for lift is the solution. You need to know flow required, open vs closed center, and fittings.

Can’t loosen hydraulic hose (not a quick connect)

Vice grip 7lw or 10lw Is a 7" and 10" line wrench that helps in situations like this, but isn't all that useful for normal use. Also it's great for almost stripped and stuck brake line nuts.

3 pt Bushhog backhoe PTO pump or hydraulic relief ??

You are probably going to need to find out how to convert to open center valves. Or buy a closed center tractor. I put a loader joystick in a 4020 and had to buy the closed center adapter for it. I purchased both the adapter and joystick from summit hydraulics.

3 pt Bushhog backhoe PTO pump or hydraulic relief ??

Is it set up as closed center or open center? And your tractor is open center, but some old Deere's are closed center. If it's set up for closed center your tractor won't like it and it'll be on the relief valve constantly.

Admit Your Failure! Mower off the 3-point but PTO still connected...

On my old tractor with its old rotary cutter I normally pulled it apart. It was always very stubborn to slide in and I normally couldn't get it off the PTO without just pulling it apart. Tools from the 50's don't know when the shaft was replaced but it has a notch worn in at it's spot. But...

    PTO Post Hole Digger

I've used mine in sandy dirt with my 44 hp tractor, and used a jd4455 in clay. I didn't have any problems with mine in sand. But it took 800 lbs to get it to dig in the clay. I don't think the pipe would hold if the tractor just pulled up if it had screwed in.
