Personally, I would get a Grasshopper 700 or 900 series (they come with Kubota diesel), and are both front mount machines. Lots of front mounted accessories for these also. Here is a YouTube video on a 900D (which is probably more machine than you need, I’d start with looking at a 700D).

Take a look at a Splitfire. The Wallenstein is a copy off the Splitfire. Splitfire is another Canadian made splitter and they have been doing it well for 40 years. Many Splitfire models to choose from but the 2265 is a great all around splitter and one of their lower cost splitters.

If it will be a mower primarily, I think it sounds just fine, unless you wanted a ditch bank flail mower that needs rear remotes. Economy models are fine, and you can still get remotes and such added using products from companies like WR Long. Shuttle, no problem with mowing, many prefer it.

Most batteries are decent. I have a good Interstate battery warehouse near me, that I buy all my car and tractor batteries from. They have several different grades of batteries to choose from (not all grades have a battery to fit though). Batteries don’t last long in Florida.

That’s a very nice tractor and should work out very well for you. If they have an M model with a power shuttle, you may want to give it a quick peak. It’s got a few more gears, as well as the power shuttle feature. Both the 2860e and M are quite fine machines and both are nice.

Massey’s are very nice and I know on there M model, you can get a power shuttle transmission. Function is similar to a regular shuttle but you don’t have to press in the clutch to shift gears.

These in my book are the best grapples money can buy. The pinchers are so convenient. Can pluck saplings right out of the ground. Built like a root rake, and tough as nails, but can out grapple most grapples.

Kubota still makes some nice looking lawn tractors. Don’t know anything about them, but probably worth a look see. My last lawn tractor before I went zero turn was a Simplicity Conquest. Was a nice machine, but my Gravely zero turn blows it away in every way.

Looks like you are eyeing a larger machine. You could try and sell through Facebook. Ask for more than what you would want to make the deal on the new machine to give you some wiggle room. It will either sell or not.

Caroni makes a very nice finish mower. They have had a long history of happy users.

To say that this bolt torque is only a Kioti issue is non-sense. Every tractor specifies to torque bolt, especially lug and loader mount bolts.

If it is perfectly even when cutting, then you do not have it adjusted properly. It should slope upwards front to rear, at least 2-3 inches.

It will be fine to handle a 5’ footer. You will be a little further away from the fence line and if you are backing into clear area you may drive over uncut portions though. I am using a 4 footer on my 6’ wide machine for brush clearing only. I’d recommend getting a 6 footer if possible though.

The Brown tree cutter models can go up to an 8” tree.

All three Korean manufacturer’s make nice machines. I would try and compare similar models that have the most similar engines, ie 25hp TYM to the 25-26 Kioti and LS, or the 40hp models of each.

That guy is a nut using that flail like a forestry mulcher. Would have been better off popping those scrub trees with his grapple, piling them up, and then lighting a match. Not that the flail didn’t handle it, but I sure wouldn’t do it that way.

I wouldn’t worry at all about the emissions. For the most part the DPF systems work just fine. You do occasionally hear about a bad apple here and there, but the same can be said about any mechanical system.

It’s a 6’ rake, which I bought with my John Deere 2320 4’ wide tractor. The Deer is now sold (recently). I still use it with my 6’ wide LS tractor, although I wish it were a little wider, but it still gets the job done.

Sounds like something in the seat safety switch is killing it. Maybe not fully making contact. I had a similar John Deere Yanmar, and you could run the pto if the brake was set and tractor out of gear, even while off the seat.

The County line cutter is more of a light duty model. Bush hog and Woods are two that I would look out for. They make excellent medium and heavy duty models. That rule of thumb for hp per foot is really PTO horse power. I would assume your boomer has plenty to run a 6 foot cutter.

No one is defending an overloaded trailer. What people are pointing out is a trailer shouldn’t split in half at a weld because it is overloaded. Especially when the exact same trailer can be outfitted with larger axels and increase the load capacity. Huge difference.

2010 Gravely Pro Turn HD 160. Still going strong. I think Gravely make a great mower. If I were to buy new though, I would strongly consider the Ferris with suspension. My back is not in the best shape and I would like to take some of the jolts off it.

Just got a 42hp cab LS MT342. Traded in a green and yellow rig on it. Blue is the correct color for me. Love it so far and the air conditioning is wonderful in hot as Hades Florida.

I buy the cheapest ones at harbor freight. Seems to last as long as the more expensive models and don’t feel bad about pitching them when they die.

Price out of the way, the Massey 1835M is IMHO the best machine bar none on your list. You will get the most bang for the buck with the TYM, but that is a long way to the dealer.

Is there water in your fuel. At least check the fuel bowl and see if there is any water. Wouldnt hurt to try and jump it also. I know it says 13.0 voltage, but a boost doesn’t hurt.

Have you sat in both? I find the 3620 quite a bit more roomy than the Ck3520. It’s a frame size bigger. I’d steer toward the TYM. Finishing mowing maybe better on the Kioti, but about everything else the TYM would have an advanatge.

John Deere released a video that said to run DPF tractors as normal. Do not constantly run them at higher rpm thinking it will burn cleaner. If the tractor isn’t working when at higher RPM it is actually causing more soot needing to be cleaned by the DPF filter. It’s worth an experiment...

I think they had to with there relationship with Case/New Holland. I am sure Case/New Holland specified certain criteria and LS had to rise to the standards.

Love the ergonomics and fit and finish. That’s what really sold me on this. Of course the price was right as well. There are a few small things I would change, but overall very happy with the layout. The cab fits me well.

Been running over mine for years. Trucks tractors etc. never an issue. Do avoid the septic tank itself though.
