We've had enough of television programming.

You don't even need the app on some phones, pretty sure you can just pair it on many phones. Some Roku's also have a voice command remote.

    Glow Plugs

There's really not much to these, you turn the key all the way to the right to power the glow plugs, no sensors on these old steeds. As mentioned make sure you get battery power to the top of the 3 glow plugs. My B6100 had a loose connection that killed power to all the glow plugs. Also good...

Any updates? I'd like to send some of our rain your way. I've had to remove water from my pool 3 times this summer and have yet to add any since I opened it.

You're top three YouTube people that you watch

In my opinion the content I watch on Youtube is better than 99% of anything on TV. My 89 y/o FIL loves it on his smart TV. He just talks into the remote to see Mustie1 or slim potatohead.

I wouldn't say generational as I'm not a fan either and I'm younger than you. Just seems dirty to me but maybe I'm a prude. I just don't see a need for it. I would never use those words around my kids so why use them elsewhere? To each his own.

    B7100 Hydraulics running LA304 loader

I have a B6100 (same with a couple less HP) with a B1630 FEL that runs off the onboard pump. Lifting speed is fine, I would think it would depend on cylinder size of the LA304.

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I don't generally watch the "run on this" videos. I do watch most of his tool stuff if it's something I will use but I often set youtube to play at 1.25x speed. I can deal with his voice, I have coworkers that are more annoying. :D

We've had enough of television programming.

I can't tell the difference between the old school land line and Vonage. Vonage may be even better sound wise. Only issue is if the internet is down so is your phone but you can set it to forward if it is down. My internet goes down way more than Vonage, it's a rarity for the VOIP to be down...

We've had enough of television programming.

Haven't had cable for quite a few years now and don't miss it. We got Amazon prime early on for the 2 day shipping and now use these streaming side too. Dropped Netflix 6 months ago as it turned to mostly crap and recently picked up the higher tier of Discovery Plus....hate commercials love...

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

I did my pool deck with a big box store composite maybe 10 years ago or so, the solid core type. It was a new deck so was able to easily accommodate the 12" joist span. I went with a tan which shows grime more but isn't terribly hot. I've pressure washed it once or twice and it seems to clean...

Yep, I got the same thing. At least there's a chance it may still come. I'd be more annoyed if I went to the store and they were out of them. At least this doesn't waste my time in traffic. BTW, folks asked about the replaceable battery. Here's a pic of the one from the light and the one...

Tires Time for new tires on the B6100

So I went with the E-bay blems, only complaint is they ground the rubber lettering off a bit deeper than I'd like but still plenty of rubber left. Annoying thing is the day after I ordered them E-bay had a 15% off sale. Buggers. I got one on to replace the leaker, not too bad and looks...

My GS has stolen a few sticks of butter off the counter. I think we finally got counter surfing trained out but a fresh steak may be too enticing. Never had an issue with grapes but we are careful that the dogs don't get any. Hopefully all goes well for them and you.

Tires Time for new tires on the B6100

Hey there, my B6100 has a leak in one of the rear tires. They are pretty badly dry rotted so I guess I've got my usage out of them. It has 29x12.00-15 turfs back there which I like as they are gentle on my not so hearty lawn. I don't see many options for this tire size but do see some...

    Price check on a B6100

Chris, you PM'd me the question below and I am answering so it may help someone in the future. My tractor also has the B6001 stamp, you can see it in the picture. My tractor was bought from a Kubota dealer so it's not a gray market one. You should be fine with the tractor above assuming the...

    Todays shop time.

Cool bird bigtiller. I enjoy making things out of metal. I finished up a pair of gates Saturday, they are made of old futon metal. We have what we call a dog chute off our deck that allows the pooches into the back yard to play. Issue is it blocks the way to get around the house on that...

    Opinions on stair tread sealant

So I installed new oak stair treads last year. Looked at the different sealants and went with a supposed "pro" one from one of the big box stores. Before I bought it I asked on the question/answer section how it would hold up to dogs, I have two. Of course they said great. Not so much, the...

Here's a picture of the linkage on my B6100 which is just the lesser HP version of your tractor. Hopefully it helps. You can see the front linkage connects to the handle which is the control for the 3ph valve. All that linkage does is move the handle back to neutral position when the 3ph is...

I figured I would add to this since I finally made something. :D Small woodstove made out of a propane tank. Fired it up for the first time to burn the junk off before it goes into our tarped in work area. I still need to add some things like the door to cover the lower vent. Some day I'll...

People were posting pics of old drills so I'll do the same. This one has been in my family for as long as I can remember, I'd guess a minimum of 40 years. No idea how old it is but it seems Simpson-Sears started in the early 50's. I remember this thing being a beast to try and hold on to, it...

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I did buy the Porter Cable angle grinder. It seems to be made quite well. The switch and cord are way better quality that the HF "pro" unit I have. Seeing those already broke on the HF unit hopefully this unit will hold up better. No there is no brake on it. The body is a bit thick but the...

    Looking for vise attachment ideas.

Right now I have a 2"x10" that I have my metal jaw vice and grinder attached to. It was a quick install I did over 10 years ago and it has taken a beating and due for replacement. I'm thinking 6 or 7 - 2"x4"s glued and bolted together to get the same width which fits well for where I have it...

    Sheild gas thoughts?

I liked how someone else modified their HF cart because the welder did not fit. They made a platform that was high enough to add a drawer out of wood. I did something similar which allowed me to screw some metal pieces for ease of locking the welder down. There's an angle iron type piece in...

    Sheild gas thoughts?

My new toy...er tool came in last week. First job for it was to weld the corners of the cheap HF welding cart. This unit will take some getting used to, my cheapo welder has the wire hot as soon as it's on so you can easily shorten the wire length by hitting the side of nearby metal. The...

    Sheild gas thoughts?

I'll be buying an i-Mig 140 soon, mainly for sheet metal work. I've used a cheap flux core welder for a few years and also have a 220v stick welder, I'm looking forward to working with a MIG. Any suggestions on the shield gas? Tank renting or buying, which gas is best for the buck etc...

Bad Day at Block Rock - errrr - Make it Bad Year.

Yep, the gun looks neat. As for the A/C compressor, I'm not sure how your truck is but on mine it is somewhat high so I can unbolt it and move it to where I can see the front of the pulley without removing hoses. Makes life much easier. I used a couple 2" bolts and a nut just under the...

Lotos LT5000D Plasma cutter deal from Amazon

With a bit of help from me, my kids and wife got me the Ebay one for my birthday. I'm glad I went with the dual voltage. It goes through thick sheet metal on a 20amp breaker painlessly. I showed my son a quick cut in the form of a sine-wave which prompted him to ask why we waited so long to...

Hmm, I don't know what that would make my lab. She is a bit over a year old but is not as tall or as thick as most labs. Her head is on the sleeker side. She is really energetic when she wants to be and it's amazing how fast she is. Sometimes she just runs full tilt around our fenced in dog...

    B7100 3 point wont lift

You may want to check the filter built into the bolt that goes through the rear banjo fitting under the seat. There's also a relief valve built into the control valve, maybe it's stuck open. I had that happen on my loader valve. Attached are some pics from a manual from another model that...

Can an old lady get her MF1250 to start?

True enough. I wrote that before I saw that it started. No idea how I missed that post from Mare. As for getting around the safety stuff, you can do that by bypassing the safety relay. I wouldn't be surprised if it was found to be bad. The other option as mentioned is wire a momentary...

Can an old lady get her MF1250 to start?

Good job Mare. I'm with Spyder, do as much as you can with the meter before ripping the battery out. Below is a doctored picture, I think this is correct per the picture. The cable with the red arrow pointing to it (big sheathed) should have 12volts on it all the time and should not drop much...

    slow log splitter

Hi folks, recently my FIL picked up a home made logsplitter. After doing some modifications on how the motor/pump was ghetto mounted it now runs pretty good. The thing that bugs me is how slow it is to extend. The pump is a 2 speed 11gpm Haldex running a 4" cylinder. Attached to the pump is...
