Groo, It is not necessary to have teeth on the thumb. My thumb work ok without and it can easily be folded away when not in use.

After dismantling the alternator I found that it had AVR and not just a capacitor for voltage regulation! The schematic in the manual showed a different alternator!:o I have now ordered a new AVR.

Re: Frozen Water Line - Update Here in Sweden we use a selfregulating electric heating cable which can be placed on the outside of a plastic line and insulated or with a special fitting inside. If used inside you have to have a safety breaker to sence any leakage current.
