New L6060, what's wrong with my rear remote?

I can't believe Kubota doesn't sell a rear remote with detent. all those people with wood splitters are stuck with a bungee cord on a 60,000 $ tractor. Another reason to stick with my 40 series.

Mx6000 fogs up on the inside when pushing snow.

does the mx6000 have defroster grids... I have the same problem on my GL4740 if I forget to turn on the A/C. Like others said, defrost on, fan on high, A/C on, and I think most important; fresh outside air not recirculate.

Anyone Seen A Loader Mounted Stump Grinder?

I have a woodland mills 3pt stump grinder and If I was building one I would build the 3pt type but make it swing side to side. much easier to control than using the front and back motion of the tractor. L range at pto rpm is still too fast to grind a stump so control becomes an issue. a...

Anyone Seen A Loader Mounted Stump Grinder?

i would be worried about the side loads on the loader and if you spin the wheel front to back then it becomes a pain to sweep side to side.

Oil & Fuel When I get rich like Jay Leno

I don't know how they solve this problem but I always thought those single point greasing systems can't be all that good because all the grease would take the path of least resistance. You would end up with only one grease point very well greased and the others are dry. unless you had a...

New L6060, what's wrong with my rear remote?

they are paired side to side not up and down so one function would get plugged in to the top right and top left outlet easy to mix up if you only have two remotes for what it is worth mine has three remotes. One float the others regular (no detent), with the float detent valve installed in...

When do you replace the chain on a 3-PT. snowblower?

Thanks for the info, so half link is the type of chain. The master link is to join regular chain together. I make my own chainsaw chains so I'm familiar with the preset links and tie straps but I haven't had to play with the chain on my blowers yet except for lubing. regular chain would be...

Oil & Fuel When I get rich like Jay Leno

When do you replace the chain on a 3-PT. snowblower?

just curious what are these half links everyone is refering to. my understanding is that the distance between each rivet has to be the same all around the chain so I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the idea of a half link. it would jam on the sprocket if it was half the length.

thats great. shove the whole thing in there on low speed and stand back and watch it eat. does yours have the valve attached to the body on a welded bracket or with round spacers bolted on. I had a problem with mine where the bracket for the valve was welded on at the wc46 location instead...

    L4740 stalled this afternoon

i also have a l4740 and I have read the owners manual and I have the shop manual for it. I am not aware of any spin on fuel filter on this tractor. I may have missed it but the only fuel filter I know of is the one in the sediment bowl. What do you mean by spin on filter? I"m thinking a...

Coney, what is to much garlic

you can press the clove with the flat side of a large knife that usually breaks the skin up and allows you to peel it easier. a good tap with your hand on the knife usually is enough, you don't want to crush the garlic just crack the skin.

    Drawbar pulling question

they might just sink in the mud and you would still go over
  16. J

    Drawbar pulling question

do not turn the bar around. Y1 is still not zero technically you could still flip the tractor if you could get enough traction even with the drawbar backwards. as the wheels lift your attachment point will raise instead of lower than the theoretical Y1 will become the rear axle where the chain...

    Injection Pump pressure adjustment

nothing is risk free in life. more power is great but in reality other things will break or overheat but tractors are built tough. you take a 100 hp tractor and turn it up to 200hp. dont expect to run all day every day at 200HP and not have trouble keeping the temps down or without breaking...

    pto clutch pressure readings

thanks for the info. I am running sudt 2 in it. your 6060 should be very similar in terms of pto clutch operation. the oil for the pto clutch system is taken from the power steering circuit and reduced by a presure reducing valve. maybe that is why pressures are lower when cold. I'm used to...

    pto clutch pressure readings

it really isn't hard to get a gauge on the pto clutch circuit it is an 1/8 npt plug. If it saves you the pto clutch issues I am having you will be glad you took the time to do it. the point of this thread was to let guys know that they should check their pressures and that the oil temps...

    pto clutch pressure readings

Yes correct, an L4740 2012 i'm not to worried for now because it is within range when at the right temp and tractor is still functional unless mowing at hot ambient temps for a long time. I will have to see about getting a pressure gauge teed into the power steering circuit to see if that is...

Gripstuds vs igrip which is better

I have studs on mine done by the previous owner. No problem studding previously driven tractor tires since all that I have seen are not pre drilled for studs. I would probably go for the shorter ones since they are less likely to get ripped out and like someone else said if you have enough...

    pto clutch pressure readings

cleared the drive way this weekend with the blower and after about an hour of running it engine oil temp was 48 deg C and hydro oil was at 32deg C so about like a hot summer day. not death valley hot but still hot for around here. Not quite up to the 40 deg minimum the shop manual calls for and...

    Help removing front gear case

I was pretty sure there was no snap ring at the top. I remember using the weight of the tractor to try and get it back together. I was only missing about the width of the snap ring to get it back on. dealer smacked it with a BFH and it went right in. Only one side gave me trouble at assembly.

    Issues with the WM WC46

I have a wc68 that has the same problem. I think they should sell an optional bar that mounts on the side that you could push down on to raise the roller. Often times I have trouble starting a branch (especially a large one) cutting the ends at 45 degrees helps but hasn't always been done...

    Help removing front gear case

If I remember correctly on my B7800 they came apart nicely but I had trouble putting it back together. ended up taking the whole assembly off the axle and to my dealer who swiftly broke out the 5 lb dead blow hammer and had the assembly together with one hit. I got on amazon and ordered a bigger...

Thanks for helping me get this :)

The lid is definitely powered at the same time kind of like the fact that I can curl and raise the bucket at the same time but performance is definitely lower. definitely flow splitting going on. I know the feeling. when my rear remote is in detent the 3pt will not raise.

Thanks for helping me get this :)

I can also curl and close the lid on my grapple at the same time with my factory third function setup. the solenoid does have a tendency to stick especially when not warmed up but a quick bump of the joystick has never failed to release it. I don't mind the quick action but I can see where...

kubota loader cylinder threads (ride control)

kubota loader cylinder threads (ride control)

The hose fittings are JIC -* i believe but I was talking about the elbow into the female threads of the cylinder port. I like your setup with the digital gauge. I have a cab so I wasn't thinking of shielding the accumulators and I was looking into piston instead of bladder since the...

nice you will be chipping in no time but plan for atleast an hour of assembly, more if you take your time. measure twice and cut once on the PTO shaft. plenty of you tube videos on how to do it. use the measurement when PTO shaft on tractor is level with the PTO shaft on attachment. that...

    pto clutch pressure readings

here is a link to a better description of the problem. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/kubota-l4740-hydraulic-pump-problems.416125/ what I have also learned in the mean time is that the PTO clutch circuit is powered from the power steering side of the pump not the main system side.

I have a 6 inch and am happy with it behind 39 PTO HP. so far have not had to turn the speed down. upgrading tractors is expensive but upgrading tractors and attachments gets really expensive.
  43. J

    Awaiting my Woodland Mills WC68

For the price difference I wouldn't go lower than the 6 inch if your tractor can lift it. The feed speed of the roller can be adjusted so HP is not really an issue.

The right tractor for towing/forestry work

I think tractor weight is going to be important in your decision. My L4740 is pushing close to 8000 lbs. tractor is 4600 plus 1400 loader plus 1500lbs of ballast in the tires and nothing on the 3pt. I'm pretty sure your working weight on your M6040 is higher than that unless your tires aren't...
