My Kubota has ball style quick connect couplers and most of them leak like crazy I recently got a Cat skid steer and it has flat face couplers They are super easy to connect/disconnect and don't leak a drop of fluid I'm thinking about converting all of my Kubota quick connects to the flat face...

Follow-up: Removed the fuel cap- Still ran rough Looked in tank- everything looked clean Removed line from tank at fuel filter- it only trickled I blew air back into tank and then it flowed well Removed all fuel from tank and diesel look clean Not sure where obstruction was but runs fine now...

Just bought an L4200 DT Previous owner welded the 3PH lever saying that it will prevent deadheading the pump with the backhoe attached Does this make sense to anyone?

About 1300 hours on the clock Haven't been a daily greaser but for sure every 10-20 hours More often now that I got the DeWalt battery powered grease gun which I should have purchased when I got the tractor

Thanks for the quick reply RC. Will pull and measure them. I assumed there were pressfit bushings in the loader frame. Is that not the case?

My L4740 is a bout 10 years old now and has seen moderate use. There's about an inch to two at the most of slop in the bucket. At point should I start thinking about replacing the pins and bushings? Any thoughts to replacing the pins alone which would be relatively simple and quick?

Looking at Cat 226D or 232D which I believe were introduced in 2015 and currently still in production and Kubota 5 series (570, 590, 595) which were introduced around 2013 Again, prefer to do my own work like I do on my Kubota L4740 If I have to take it to the dealer for every little problem...

Do any of you work on your own late model skid steer loaders or do you always take it to the dealer? If you do your own work, have you had problems with diagnostics?

I'm looking for a used midsize skid steer loader I've heard that problems on newer machines require the dealer for diagnostics Is that true? If so, when did this change take place?
