I have not heard that before. I guess I need to check my owners manual.

Maybe try tightening the belt first and see if that helps.

Have you tried putting a known good manual gauge on it to see what psi you are really getting?

The spring loaded idler pulley has to be pushed away (up) from the belt. Turning the pulley will also help roll it into the groove of the pulley. Then when you let it back down it will go on and let it will tension the belt.

After cutting them I have thou about using a sponge to apply Roundup on the cut ends to avoid getting it in the pond.

Now I see my mistake thanks. I wonder if I can just straighten it or if I‘ll have reinforce it?

I’m only concerned with the rod/linkage in my picture as the one on the side of the transmission is straight. the picture from the parts boo looks like it has a bend at the threads, but I think that’s a bad idea too.

I am not sure if my 4wd linkage is bent or not. I am leaning towards it’s not bent based the two attached pictures. If not bent it’s an adjustment issue. Can anyone verify by looking at there linkage and say if mine looks okay or not?

My son was mowing a pasture today and noticed a sound like a ratcheting noise when the 4wd lever was riding a bit forward in the disengaged position and abated when move further rearward. I found a post that mentioned the same type of sound, but know outcome was posted...

I think all Y-blade knives are reversible, but there are other knives that aren’t they typically have a cutting surface that is parallel to the ground. My Ford 917, Bushhog flail and John Deere flails all use this type of knives. However, they can use Y-blades too.

Not all knives are reversible, but many are.

I think the term for that is a power beyond block/port.

Would it be easier to use a wheel on the seeder with a sensor for the speed and therefore self-contain the speed control system on the seeder.

How hard is i to pull them that way? My TC45 likely has quite a bit less lift vs your machine

I have ordered the red one from Messicks two times and they canceled it due to no availability. Today I stopped by Messicks and the parts guy said the same thing. The rear facing lower light is red and maybe it’s for brake light?

I ha a broken red lens on my tail lights and it seems the lens is no lo made. Has anyone replaced there TC series tail lights with some kin of standard trailer led lights? I would assume I may need to swap to a flasher compatible with led lights as the stock lights are incandescent bulb.

I was going to do that when it was just 6’ wide, but now it’s 12’ wide and I doubt it would work.

On my NH TC45 I have 16 psi in the fronts 10x16.5 and 12 psi in the 17.5x24 rear tires. To get full contact with the rears I need to go lower. I can always pump up the fronts if doing heavy loader work.

This is a bigger version of what I want to build. It has a 3 point attachment on both ends, so one doesn’t have un-attach the harrow to adjust the aggressiveness of the chain harrow.

PTO HP is plenty, but dealers concern is likely about picking it up and not picking the front end up. Add front weight and likely not an issue.

I’m looking for DIY 3 pt chain harrow carrier ideas and folding would be a plus. Just got a second 6’ chain harrow, so it’s going to be about 12’ wide. I hate messing with chain harrows, so I think I want a 3pt attachment point on both ends.

An easy thing to check is if your u-joints on your PTO shaft are in phase. If they are I think you might want to have your rotor checked for straightness and balance. A machine shop that does drivelines should be able to do it.

I use a 3/8” 12 point swivel socket.

The rear casters/gauge wheels are for higher cutting heights than the rest roller is capable of cutting and rougher terrain due to the larger diameter.

TLJ87, when you go to order parts what have Alamo SD88 not a SHD88. The roller attachment point (adjustment bolt mounting) is one way to tell. Another is the gear box the small cover on the rear th held on with four bolts says it’s a SD88.
