Fuel shut off solenoid on case dx25e tractor

Did you check all the fuses? Sounds like you need the wiring diagram and a meter to troubleshoot.

The click is likely the starter solenoid pulling in... it could be bad, the starter could be bad, the battery could be bad, the wiring could be bad a fuse could be blown. Start with the least cost first. Check all connections especially the ground connection to the block from your battery...

Mahindra 1533L hydrostatic wont turn over.

I did not see any mention of air.. Have you checked the air filter? How did you get the starting fluid in? Removing the air filter and giving a squirt? And then it ran for 8 hours. With the air filter off? An engine is nothing more than an air pump. If it does not get air, it will not...

    Stump bucket on worksaver

@Grjfer - go small on the bucket. Your loader, like mine, can't handle a lot of force... dig easy, use the curl on the bucket, take your time. I don't try to dig out huge stumps... that's for other machines. I use our bucket to dig out up to maybe 8"- 10" diameter stump. Some can't be done...

Why not buy a stump bucket that goes on the SSQA instead of the fork frame? That's what we did. Works great. Quick change. Our unit is from Titan.

What have you hit with your mower lately?

Was mowing our field for the first time a few years back. Brush was 8 foot tall - couldn't really see what was what... Out in front of the field gate, along the road needed cutting. Well, I didn't know then what I know now! There was a telco box out there. Communications along our road...

Changing fuel filter on NH 3930

If it doesn't start, air has been picked up in the system. It has to be bled from the system by "opening" a line further downstream from the fuel filter. I would assume New Holland has a procedure. Tractor Mike on Youtube had no fuel flow in his New Holland and he shows how he resolved...

    Rotary Cutter Size?

Your tractor is a 1000lbs lighter than ours. I'm glad the other Bruce thought of the weight. My guess is you will be fine with 550# back there but be ready to add front ballast. We cut on hills. The bucket and loader stay on to help us at top of the hills when things want to get very light...

    class 11/1 3 point?

PTO class? I've not heard that term before. PTO is normally specified by power - the HP delivered and the RPM. Then they can be transmission driven, "Live", or Fully Independent. These threads may help sort things more: What Series PTO Shaft do I need? PTO types clarification?? Switching...

Rotary cutter / mower / clipper / bushhog -- blades stopped spinning

I'm going to ask a stupid question: did the PTO gear lever pop out of gear? Turn the PTO electric clutch off. Depress the clutch (if not an HST) Move the PTO lever out then into gear. I have had this happen on our Massey. Every time it happens, I have a bright red face because I feel like...

@ovrszd, that's a great point! water pump.. check the flow - tests thermostat and water pump all at once. (I remember doing that back when I was younger on my '58 Ford.. ) Fits with his 15 minute run time too! I appreciate the knowledge on this forum.. I hope the OP soon reports his findings.

blow the radiator out to clear the chaff and debris? That was not in your list of things you have done.. Is the fan operating properly? We have a 2005 1533... She runs like a top - 450+ hours.. Only overheating has been when the screen was packed with garbage or the fins in the...

conflicting advice on using bucket with rotary cutter

I mow hills.. pretty steep hills. For stability, the bucket helps. That said, the bucket makes the whole rig longer and does make it harder to turn when in tight places. If running on flat land that you know, you likely do not need the bucket on. if on land you do not know and there is a...

Massey Ferguson 1533 built 2005 - Loader hydraulic coupler troubles

I wanted to close this out. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the female socket. The issue was that when the hose was yanked from the female, the nipple/male side of the hose was distorted, out of round and a guy with eyes that knew what to look at spotted it immediately. I ended up at...

    Pats. Why bent washers?

They are pricey. You will loose lynch pins and washers. Just a fact. The cost of the washers run from $3.99 to $10.99 for two. I bought a whole bunch of thick durable flat washers for what it cost to buy 2 PATs washers. As said, the only downside is often I need to take the pin washer off...

    Pats. Why bent washers?

They are bent such that the pin can capture them. i lost most of ours and simply purchased nice steel washers. They serve the same purpose and do not mess with the horizontal movement of the attachment. I do have to pull the pins and remove the washers to pick up to keep the washer out of the...

Box scraper vs. rear blade for this type of road work

We have a half mile driveway with a 400 foot rise from the bottom to the top. Making and maintaining drainage ditches, keeping the drive crowned has been done with a back blade that can be heavily angled in several planes. We use the box blade to move material to low spots and to drag the...

    GC2400 w/ 5' Brush Hog

Sort of a rule of thumb is you need 5hp for each foot of width of the brush hog. I doubt you have 25hp - which is why you mentioned you would not be cutting heavy thick grass. If the 2400 runs 20hp, I think you would be fine if you get the machine in balance. That hog probably weighs...

Rake grapple able to pull brush out of the ground?

Smoke, rough running and no power above an idle

I'm glad you have it fixed but I am unsure what the fix was. Is your conclusion is that it was the air filter causing this? Color me skeptical... If the air filter was blocking that much air flow that it could not make power, then "blowing it out with only a little dust coming off" seems...

Smoke, rough running and no power above an idle

We run a Massey - not a Mahindra... last spring, I dumped 5 gal of diesel into the machine and it started doing exactly what is described here. Twice a year, I mow a pasture that has sections with a near 20% slope. @ParkWhite suggested that you take time to practice. That's what I did.. After my 3rd mowing, I understood how to take the hills riding up/down rather than attempting to go across. To help with the turns at the top, a...

As previously said, we did move the joy stick. We did press the ball and we did see hydraulic fluid come out. That said, perhaps we did not hold it open long enough. On the plug side, we opened both sides of the circuit and with those open, we pressed the ball in by hand. We then tried to...

Massey Ferguson 1533 built 2005 - Loader hydraulic coupler troubles

@Xfaxman, we agree. I did not try swapping A & B to see if A would seat in the B socket - good idea. The issue with the A socket is that the plug will not stay in and latch. you can get it in, but then if you wiggle it, it will pull out. The fluid valves are not open. We think when the...
