Is A Stump Bucket Grapple A Capable Brush Handler?

I find a frostbite style grapple (FrostBite Grapples - Grapple, Log Grapple) very effective, which is probably pretty close to a stump bucket with a grapple. It weighs less that a root grapple, and is significantly cheaper. I think it is far superior for moving logs and large rocks. However, it...

    S27 F08 Error Code - Confused

I took a look at the air filter last night. The external filter was fairly packed with dirt on the end closest to the intake opening, but the internal filter looked perfectly clean. I wasn't able to clean the external filter, so I went ahead and ordered a new one, which should get to me by...

Thanks for the advice. The tractor is only 2.5 years old, so it should still be under warranty provided it's not mice getting to it. The dealer is over an hour away. S27 F08 Error Code - Confused

I need some help ... Back in May, I had an S27 F08 error code pop up on my tractor. A quick google search led to a discussion on this forum that it was a wiring harness error. I popped the hood, did a cursory check to see if there were any wires/harnesses loose, found nothing. Shut the hood...

More impressed with LS MT3 series tractor

I have 2 inch spacers on mine (XR4145HC). They were well worth the investment. At the time, my dealer confirmed with LS that putting spacers on would not affect the warranty. I bought third party spacers. Also, a regen every 15 hours sounds like a lot. What RPM do you usually run the engine? If...

Yeah, that's more like what I was thinking. It would be nice to get just one large one to replace the shank on a subsoiler.

    Ripping roots with a tractor?

It's (up to) arm size roots I'd like to be able to cut through. It seems it would be simple to out a serrated edge on a subsoiler so if you hit a root, you apply a little bit of forward pressure while lifting the 3pt, to cut/rip the root.

Tooth rippers are common as a backhoe attachment. For example: Backhoe Ripper It seems it should be pretty easy to mount something similar on a SSQA on a front loader. But, I can't find anything of the sort. Another option would be a subsoiler type 3pt tool, but with a serrated leading edge...

Yes, except that when he priced out the Kubota, he added all of the extra features to make it comparable to an LS or Kioti "deluxe" model. (E.g. rear remotes, wipers, mirrors, 3rd function, mid PTO, etc.) Also, note that he is comparing it to the MT335, which is a smaller frame size than the...

I realize there is a difference between specs, (weight, lift capacity, etc.). I'm not trying to determine value. LS or Kubota

Yeah, some industry standards on lift capacity (specified at a specific height and location - i.e., 12-18 inches forward of the pins where the loads center of mass is likely to be) and stability (weight that can be lifted at ground height without lifting the rear wheels) would be nice to have.
  23. RSR

    LS or Kubota

My understanding (maybe I'm naively wrong) is that loader capacity is simply the weight that it can lift to that height. That can be computed quite simply from the force the cylinder produces, and the geometry of the loader. The structural properties of the loader would need to support that...

You are correct that the LS lift height is comparatively low. What is disingenuous is when you state your opinion, while slandering every other brand that isn't what you have.
