    Wooden Fence Posts

Call your local Home Depot. Ask if they have a Toro Dingo with the auger attachment. The only issue you might have is the smallest auger on it is 8" You didn't say what size posts you were putting in. If they're under 2 1/2" a gas powered post driver works well. Our local HD has both.

    Hydraulic Issues Continued

"Shucks, it makes you nearly as old as the tractor. By now that's getting to be a bond. Sort of like our old JD. Have you decided that it is a keeper yet? Thanks for the compliment. I'm 20 years older than the tractor. If I threw it away today, I got my money's worth out of it. I'm thinking (or...

    Hydraulic Issues Continued

I'll look into that. I have two filters that I switch back and forth. They are really easy to clean but having two lets me do each one very thoroughly. Usually I do that yearly, but now that I think about it, I didn't do it this past spring. The filter is never real dirty, but it's worth looking...

    Hydraulic Issues Continued

Well, I tried the "don't do that" method and have had a great spring and summer with the tractor. I've needed more than ever with skidding out dead trees along with the usual garden duties that SWMBO puts me through. Today, however, the "don't do that" method didn't work. Parked with the front...

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

I'm so sorry for not reporting back on my battery issue. The store replaced it for me. And I've got to say that I feel so damn stupid for being so stubborn as to not see that, as many of you pointed out, I had a bad battery. I'd be happy to take some verbal slaps upside my head, or I told you...

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

I have been unwilling to believe the battery is bad as I just bought it in February. Sometimes, I'm too damn stubborn for my own good. For testing, I've been putting the battery in my garden tractor. The CCA are not the same, but if it tried to turn it over, I assumed it was good. Today I...

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

Wow. five more days of vacation and all I did until today was yard work AKA honey-do's. Finally got to my issue this afternoon. I removed, cleaned, and put DE grease on all the connections. That changed nothing. I then took Dirttoy's advice and did the jumper cable test. Again, nothing. Last...

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

Was able to work on it this afternoon. The battery tests ok. I pulled out the wire from the solenoid to the starter. I found no cuts or breaks. I put an ohm meter to it and registered zero ohms as it should. I did the same thing on the negative wire without pulling it out. No cuts or breaks. The...

    Hydraulic Issues Continued

Once I got the tractor back to a level surface, the issue resolved itself. It took 24 hours, but at least I can get going again. Part of what baffles me is this only started happening about 6 years ago. I've owned the tractor for 28 years. (Good Lord, I guess that makes me old). I will look for...

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

Thanks for all the replies. The battery was replaced just before winter. That being said, I will still start there. and work through things. I did try to cross the solenoid. Absolutely nothing happened, not even a click. I'll post my battery check etc when I get it done.

Honda TRX400FW Starting issue baffling me.

I bought a 2001 Foreman 400 a few years ago. Up until this past December I've had absolutely no issues with it. One fine day I went to plow my driveway. It started right up as usual, I drove it out of the garage, went about 30 feet and it died. When trying to restart it, it would barely turn...

    Hydraulic Issues Continued

I've started threads about my issues with the hydraulics on my L225 before. Each time, with your help, I think I've solved it. Alas, I easily fool myself. I have an L225 with an FEL that is an occasional use tractor for us. Mostly spring and fall when working on mulching or cleaning up gardens...

    Kubota hydraulic issues

Ahhh, finally a day off to try to tackle this. I was going to try the hose and jug idea but as I was thinking about it I realized the supply and discharge lines to the pump are not hoses. With the larger pipe being the supply, I disconnected the smaller pipe. When I turned over the engine, I...

    Kubota hydraulic issues

Hi all, I have a Kubota L225 with a Johnson Workhorse model 10 FEL. Now that the weather has finally warmed up around here I can finally get to some things I need the FEL for. My problem is my hydraulics are not working. I first thought it was some fluid had leaked out, but I was only about a...

    Toro GT2300 bogging down

Should I order new valve guides when I order the other stuff I need? Of course when I looked up new push rods on ereplacementparts.com, I found two different numbers. My engine model 735 is listed, but the 4 numbers after the dash (0011 in my case) is not listed. I also examined the cylinder...

    Toro GT2300 bogging down

I got to work on my problem this afternoon. I removed the valve cover (1 broken bolt) and both push rods just fell out. One of them is bent. I also pulled the head off (2 more snapped bolts from the heat shield) I'm attaching some pics of the pushrods, the valves, and the piston. My first guess...

    Toro GT2300 bogging down

The number on the new coils is 32 584 08. There are also numbers 32410-02-6 and 1827209. I'm attaching pics of the wiring coming off of the smart spark module. There is a red power wire coming from the rear of the tractor along with a white ground. Both are connected to the smart spark using pin...

    Toro GT2300 bogging down

Hi all, I'm having issues with my Toro tractor bogging down under load. A bit of history. About a month ago, my tractor died while I was mowing the lawn. One of the coil's wire had worked itself under the engine cover and shorted out. I replaced the coil, started the tractor and took it out to...

Oil & Fuel Transmission or hydraulic oil L225

Hi all. I have a Kubota L225 with a Johnson work horse front end loader attached. Over the winter I removed the loader and had the tractor in my shop for some routine maintenance. I lost some fluid in the process of detaching and reattaching the loader. My question is, are the hydraulic fluids...

Tires finding wheels for an L225

Hi, I have a problem with the rear wheels on my L225. The rims have rusted out and need to be replaced. I haven't been able to find any. I have a feeling I'm not looking in the right places. Any help will be appreciated.

    Tempermental Hydraulics

Hi all, I have an L225 Kubota with a front end loader. My problem is the loader will, on occasion, stop working. I don't use this tractor that much, so I can leave it for a couple hours or a day and it will start working again. I'm mechanically inclined, but not very knowledgable on hydraulics...

Buying Advice Best Internet parts store

Hi all, Is there a best internet store for Kubota parts? I have an L225 that needs brakes and a few other repairs. The dealer near me seems to cater to big operators and charges homeowner types like me at the high end of the price scale. Thanks

    Kubota L225 Brakes

Hi all, I'm need to put new brakes into my L225 soon. It looks fairly simple, but I have a question. I'm wondering if it is necessary to remove the wheel to do it, or does that just make it more convenient to get at the brakes? I haven't purchased the shoes or new drums yet, so if there are any...

    Johnson front end loader problem

Hi All, Newbie to the website. I've owned a Kubota L225 for years and love it. It has a Johnson Workhorse front end loader that I'm having problems with. The FEL recently became "stuck". I can not raise or lower it, nor can I tilt the bucket. I've searched in vain for a manual on the loader, but...
