How much do you think that table weighs? How much weight in the base? Nice looking for sure snd a great smallish vise should come in handy. Geesh a skill saw and cutting 3/4 inch plate must have been tough. Looks like it worked though.

Looks like one of the old craftsman vises made by rock island. maybe a 3 inch or is it a 4 inch wide jaw? 3/8 or 1/2 inch plate? Looks plenty stout either way and looks like a great way to use your old vise on you awesome bench.

    Good Bench Vise Recommendations

Alan: you've found a nice old 1920's (or 1930's) Reed #32 combination vise. it's missing it's pipe jaws, but since it's maybe been sitting on your uncle's bench for 70+ years maybe the jaws are laying on the bench. that is one of Reed's first swivel base vises where the adjustment was on top of...

Can anyone here identify this tree.

I was going to say LAUREL which makes great hedges up here, but it also looked like a camilla bush that has great pink flowers. it's not a rhody as was mentioned. another good hedge is small cedar trees that grow close together, but you'll need some good drainage and decent rain or watering.
