    Your last generator Maintenance Run

Now running off Propane, have two100LB cylinders as well as several 20 Lb. bottles, so that should run +2 days., longer if not continuous. Also have gas generator, but gas sucks, doubt it will run. With Propane start it couple times a year and keep batter charged. Starts easy, no worries. As...

Mini Excavator Brands, pros and cons?? Hours?

I have an 18,000 lb. excavator. In rocky NH soil it can be every difficulty pulling a 5-6" oak if rooted in other trees, in rocky soil, and next to a wall. Largest stump I ever removed was a 3' bull pine, that had a root ball Volkswagen size. It took all the machine had to lift it out the hole...

Mini Excavator Brands, pros and cons?? Hours?

A TLB with strong backhoe can usually pick itself up and swing/pull itself to more solid ground. My TLB has not normally needed rescue except for a few times, like fear of slipping and rolling down a 20' embankment. Thank God for the excavator. Nearly got excavator stuck a few times, i.e...

    TODAY'S GUN TIME

Buy a decent lower either complete or start bare built from scratch, then get your upper. Change trigger to suit. I'm currently finding this is less expensive and easier than buying pieces by piece. If you want a project, buy a complete less lower parts kit and some armorers tools.

Lifting safe - Ballast Box needed?

Correct, however my Backhoe can lift and swing to side and move my 8,000 tlb tractor, So I have used the excavator for rescue only a few times. There is 2WD stuck, 4wd stuck, 4WD TLB and come-along stuck, then there is excavator stuck. Yuck, that's a mess!

Lifting safe - Ballast Box needed?

I find the separate excavator much more useful. By having two machines, when you get one stuck, you have the other to get it out with (or get stuck too!) Correct, however my Backhoe can lift and swing to side and move my 8,000 tlb tractor, So I have used the excavator for rescue only a few...

Does Anyone Still Make the FEL SSQA-to-3PT Adapters?

The trick to a homemade FEL SSQA-to-3PT Adapter is to angle out the quick hitch. It has some extra rollback built in. Please see photo's. I recommend using on a loader a with at least 1 ton lift capacity. Good for using box blade as an ice scraper or for a HD York rake.
