Finish cutter blades for Bush Hog 5’ Squeeler?

I used a 6 foot "cheater" bar with a 1" socket bar ("breaker bar") and took everything I had to break the bolts loose... good luck. They are normally very tight. That was when I replaced them. For a long time, I just used to grind them, still attached to the mower (make sure you brace it...

Finish cutter blades for Bush Hog 5’ Squeeler?

So I have a finish mower (very nice cut) and an old Landpride brush hog that I got for $250. After turning most of the large rocks into gravel with it... I bought new blades for it. I sharpen the new blades since even new, the blades have a blunt edge on it. It cut just about as good as the...

    Shearing Clippers

Just up the road from you and NO ONE is taking new dogs for groomers... It's been a very slow process but I've slowly gotten my dog to tolerate being exposed to clippers. Really slow and sometimes it was just flipping the clippers backwards (NOT cutting) and rubbing it over him. Progress to...

    Homemade 3 pt sprayer.

I looked at your pump, there was a question about using it with 9 nozzles... they said it should work based on your nozzle output. I assume, the lower the better.

    Homemade 3 pt sprayer.

I'm guessing you bought an electric pump? You will most likely need a larger pump... Or multiple pumps to cover that boom. I'm very interested in how it works out. I got a trailer with 2x 40 (?) gallon tanks that I plan to build a sprayer out of this summer... PTO pumps are better suited for...

    4WD (dis)engagement lever?

I personally, would just leave it in 4x4 unless you have hard pavement. You have a HST so don't make tight turns, do a 3 or 4 point turn since backing up is so easy. If you have to constantly disengage it, Tie a rope to the tip of of the 4x4 lever, and put a handle on it so you can give it a...

Tractor for land clearing and preparation

Tractors are great for many things, like farming... Land clearing, not so great. It can be done but it would take lots of time. Do you have lots of time on your hands? Are you thinking of just mowing down the 1" to 2" stuff? or digging them out? A Big Mulcher would make short work of it.

Best upgrade from a Kubota L2800

More thoughts... How tall is the grass you are mowing? I use a 6 foot finishing mower with my L2800 and can cut 7-8" down to 2.5 inches with no problem. That's just grass... not woody plants. I bought cheap (low HP) tractor but added grapple, hydraulic top and tilt, the pricier Stabilizer...

Best upgrade from a Kubota L2800

Not sure about what you're picking up but I'm amazed at what my L2800 can pick up... you might want to check what PSI your hydraulic system is set at. Normally, dealers set them on the low side as to "protect" the system (no idea really why they're set low). A couple of stainless steel...

Grooming mower with no shear pin or slip clutch protection?

If the PTO bent while using it... it would have twisted it!! That looks like mine when I jammed it into the ground backing up my tractor (mine was the outer one that bent like that).
