Actually I was shopping for a trailer. The local Kubota dealership is a dealer for Hudson Brother's trailers. They are a local manufacturer known for good trailers. I was on their website, and they had ads all over the place for BX tractors at 0%. One thing led to another and I have a trailer...

    Most useful implements?

I've really wanted a tiller, but I've continued to hesitate to spend the $2000 on one, and I never see any used ones for sale. I happened across a 5' disc harrow for $300 on Marketplace, so I decided to try it. I wasn't sure about my BX's ability to lift one, or whether I'd be at all satisfied...

Nice! I moved all the stumps into this pile with my BX and a grapple. It has surprised me.

    Just pulled the trigger!

230 hours on her now. Very much so enjoying having this tractor! I use my box blade, rake, and grapple quite a bit.

It is not an option (for some weird reason??) But if you wish to pay Via PayPal, call or email and they can send you an invoice. This is how I paid and used PayPal Credit.

This is about 3 days' worth of seat time on my BX 1880 with my new Wicked Grapple. I finished it up today. This is when I left the site today. Before photos: I'm extremely pleased with both my lawnmower and my new grapple! I'm able to do more than I anticipated. The root...

Rock/Skeleton grapple vs Skelton Bucket+Root Grapple?

I haven't used a rock bucket but I want one very much. I have a root rake styled grapple and I can say that for clearing land, raking the ground, and doing a little dirt work at the same time the root rake style is a fantastic tool!

I've been using the bajeezus out of my grapple. It's already paid for itself. Both the raking and grappling functions are incredibly useful. Worked on cleaning up an old brush pile half a day this past weekend and got a lot done.

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

But if I'm a single mom who wants to build my own diy shelf or whatever, I'm better off to just buy the lumber vs invest in my own sawmill. [emoji1751] Are y'all really so close-minded that you can't step outside your own box and see that what works for you isn't always the best for the other...

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

To be fair, a 2x4x2 is still one 2x4. [emoji846] Also the same reason we continue to spend $5/gal for fuel, and all other obscene prices right now, vs going off the grid and being totally self sufficient. Back when 4x4x8 posts were $15 or $20 each, it was still easier, cheaper, and more cost...

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

Lots of folks without power tools or a know how to use them. Generally it's a small DIY project where the cost doesn't matter that much for a piece or two. Once Lowe's asked us to manufacture and ship that it has continued to sell pretty steadily.

Tractors and wood! Show your pics

I moved a lite brush to a better location the first day I had my grapple. The town decided about 6 months ago to quit picking it up without telling us because they've become shorthanded. I moved it to a less important part of the property. Made quick work of it and gave me some good practice...

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

They will cut some things in store, but we pre cut and package those 2x4 blocks, the 2x2 squares of plywood, stair stringers, etc. and ship it to them that way (for Lowe's).

    Sells like hotcakes, actually.

    Y'all Been Checkin' Lumber Prices?

I work for the company that receives, treats, and ships the lumber to Lowe's. We used to get a little bit of domestic fencing (dog eared pickets) but it was much more expensive, and most of the mills didn't like supplying it to us and eventually quit producing it. The stuff we get on the...

    My new Wicked 48

I know I know, dump trailer. But I haul lumber and vehicles and other miscellaneous things too. It's a whole lot easier to haul a truck, or load a bundle of lumber, on a trailer like this. Not to mention getting the lumber back off. I made the deck to go with a flat bed trailer but build side...

    My new Wicked 48

For me, the other option is just don't get one, so the wait is what it is. One of the drawbacks, of course, of my small tractor is I sort of have to stick to things purpose made for it so they are light but still strong. The only real other option is Land Pride and last few things I checked on...

    My new Wicked 48

I was asked to post a new thread with photos, so here goes! I have a BX 1880 with 150 hours on it now. I recently received my pin on Wicked 48 for my tractor, and I have an AI2 quick attach for it. First Nom Nomming other attachments seems handy. Today's spoils

The loader mounted plane, drag, whatever you wanna call it worked beautifully. Roughing in. Wish I would have taken more photos before I started. What I found was that if I set the loader in float, and back drag, I could control what it does with my tilt. Tilt back so the edge near the...

If I tilt forks all the way down on BX1880, they won't tilt back up.

Answered in post #8. Really wound up being quite simple. Had nothing to do with any pins being located in the wrong place, no geometry problems, just no stops on the fork frame (which is an incredible oversight by Redline, IMO). Involving the dealer would have been stupid, as there was nothing...

    Most useful implements?

I haven't used one with the tines on it. I'd like to try that too. I've wondered if it can be useful for "raking" debris out of the dirt. Stuff you find on sites like these.

    Most useful implements?

I guess think more like land plane than chain drag. At any rate, when I tested this with the cattle gate the way @Xfaxman did it worked really well for me. I can put the loader in float and drag with it. I can push or pull if I need to, and I can manipulate what it does with the tilt function...

    Most useful implements?

I forgot to update. I did try this and it did work very well. I sort of temporarily set it up with straps. I found out that it works, but I'll need a heavier duty gate for sure if I plan to use one like this often. I was going to modify it with some hoops to slip my fork tines through, or some...

If I tilt forks all the way down on BX1880, they won't tilt back up.

I need to update this, it did wind up being that there are no stops on the fork frame like I said. My solution for a little while was just to not tilt that far forward. Eventually I bought the pin on quick attach from AI2. It's built properly with stops so it totally fixes the problem.

    Single acting valve

While we're at it ([emoji23]) I hope to set the trailer up with a manual pump, and have the option to dump pumping it manually or tie into the tractor and dump more easily with the tractor hydraulics. I figure for this all I need to do is have couplers between the manual pump and the cylinder...

    Single acting valve

Thank y'all very much. One set of my rear remotes has been completely unused thus far (other set is for my HTL). The only real plan I have for it is a yard dump trailer, so I don't see a problem with setting it up that way to do it "properly". I may or may not get a tilt cylinder some day, but...

    Single acting valve

Yessir, the goal is to run a small dump trailer in the yard. Thanks! Stupid question...when it comes to routing "to the tank". On a tractor like this, does that mean getting creative and tapping into the hydraulic fill cap or something, or is there a way I don't know about to tap back into the...

    Single acting valve

I have a BX1880 that I ordered with rear remotes. It has 2 pairs of factory remote valves. I am curious if it would be possible to run a single acting cylinder off of these, or one of these, and how I would go about plumbing that. Many thanks!

    BX1880 3ph slow to lift

I suspect most would have just replaced the valve, but I don't know. Fixed is fixed as far as I'm concerned, but I'm sure disassembling this one and fixing it saved me some time waiting on parts to ship!

    BX1880 3ph slow to lift

So, like I said they isolated the problem to the control valve for the 3ph. My dealer told me he had a hard time swallowing $700+ for a new valve without knowing WHY that one wasn't working properly. He disassembled it (the fella I'm speaking of is the one who owns the dealership. He tore my...

    Betstco?

I found that agri-supply carries Caroni tillers, and they have several options in the 32-48" range, and some of those can be offset. They come in at the same price range ($1500 ish) but they are usually in stock. So no shipping, take home right away, and I can lay eyes and hands on it before...

    BX1880 3ph slow to lift

At first he thought something was plumbed wrong with the remote valves, but they have eliminated all that, back to just the original and OEM 3 point hitch, and he says it's still present. He's isolated it to the control valve for the 3ph. He says he doesn't understand why, but it appears that's...

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

My inside track club price was $170, but I got 10% off for my first purchase with the HFT credit card and it came out to $152.99. The HFT card gives 10% off the first purchase, which I opened just for getting this generator a little while back. I get the option for 12 month interest free...

I took advantage of a pretty sweet sale and have two new HFT purchases. I guess I'll be able to update this thread in a while as to whether either of these are worth a crud [emoji23]. BX1880 3ph slow to lift

I dropped it off at the dealership this afternoon. Curiously, and I haven't even noticed this, at low throttle it lifts up pretty quickly. (I'm beating my head against a wall because that would have been a nice band aid a few times while I was limping along. There is a clear point in the RPM...

    BX1880 3ph slow to lift

I have wondered if the remote install had something to do with this. It was done at the dealership before I received the tractor. The levers to activate my remote valves aren't engaged while this is happening.

    Betstco?

I understand these points, but sometimes you do get a good deal, and sometimes you can get the job done with cheaper stuff. Keep in mind this is a light duty tractor. A few satisfied customers above is promising. Still feels like a gamble though. Has anyone seen an offset sub 48" tiller...

    BEWARE - T-N-T CARPORTS

My deposit was placed on 4/19/21. I messaged them on 5/14/21 saying I had my site graded and ready to install. I think it was a couple weeks after that they installed. BX1880 3ph slow to lift

All that controls is down speed. There is no adjustment that I'm aware of for lift speed. Down speed is fine and I adjust that most every time I operate the tractor to tailor the drop speed to my situation. I should also note that rpms are generally wide open when I'm working the tractor.
