    Power Rake Build - 54"

Not sure about the non keyed part. Ours are always keyed. Because the bushing is split and clamps to the shaft as you tighten it, the load is spread across the entire bushing/shaft area. Axial play is practically eliminated. Removal to adjust location or change gear size is relatively easy.

    Power Rake Build - 54"

Pre keyed solid shafts can be ordered from garage door supply companies. If you were close to Illinois I’d give you an 1-1/4” 10’ keyed shaft for free! All your keys/sprockets/bearings can be ordered from Grainger/motion industries/etc. Taper lock sprockets are incredibly strong and easily...

    Homemade 2 shank subsoiler

I’ve got a single shank Subsoiler. Ripped up some ground for a strawberry patch. I did increasing depth passes with my L2501. Neighbor tilled it, I did another pass after that, he tilled again a week later. Probably did 3-4 passes inside the tiller width in each direction. The ground heaved a...

    Homemade 2 shank subsoiler

I’d consider purchasing a Milwaukee porta-band and some of their thick steel blades. A grinder with cutoff wheels is gonna be messy!! The band saw may not cut all of it. A 5ish inch capacity is what they have. I’ve made relief cuts every 4-5” and ripped 12” plate to about 4”.

    Roll Up Steel Workshop Doors

The “saddles” appear the same on both sides? On that style we would open the door all the way, (usually have to remove the stops) put a ratchet strap to hold the roll tight and roll the door “closed” direction one additional turn. Release the ratchet strap, pull door back down in the tracks...

    Shed/Shop

If you increase your post spacing (8-10’) a car on a lift goes right in between the trusses. Sectional doors with trolley/drawbar openers require about 19” of headroom when using 15” radius tracks. If you use a jackshaft style opener the headroom refuses to about 15”
