100 year old concrete. Sealing just to keep the dust down. It is an old Milk House, looks to have a very smooth finish coat. I am in the process of washing it down with a sponge just to "clean" it further. Occasional foot traffic only. No equipment or animals will utilize the space.

I have had some survive the racket hit. I am troubled that they are going into the oak. I just saw new holes yesterday. I will check your suggestion out.

I have whacked seven of them in the past three days. Light wood, dark wood, pine, oak, painted or not....makes no difference to the ones I have here. I sprayed wd40 into a few holes this AM. And have the racket handy by the door. LOL.

Daughters best friend just passed at 31 a few days ago. She is helping the family clean out and recover documents, affairs and electronics this weekend. My daughter called last night and said she now understands my folder and letters in the drawer.

How are the getting the power into the "system" will new lines and a substation have to be built? That's the biggest issue we face here. The integration points for the farms traverse other people properties and well....120 foot tandem towers are not pretty sitting a few hundred feet from a house.

Except when they come to hookup infrastructure and put towers through your yard because of you know - Eminent domain. It pays to be heard and informed in your community.

Around these parts the "losing valuable farm land" argument makes me cringe. No one that I know of buys farms to farm. Most farmers are elderly and looking for a way out because even their family members have moved on to other occupations. These land tracts that are up for solar development...
